People were saying that Rackers was known as a choker and that's why he was available to us in the first place.

During the replay before he missed the kick they showed a stat that said in his career on kicks to tie or win the game, he was 3-3. So where did this repuation for choking come from?

He had a horrific year in Cincinnati the year before --

of course, the field in Cincy was equally horrific and made all kicking tough

Rackers became available to us because Shayne Graham was kicking lights out and teams only need one Kicker.

does "3-3" refer to "3 out of 3" or he's "hit 3 and missed three?"

Sorry I took it to mean 3 out of 3 based on the graphic they showed.

In other words if that graphic was right, he'd never missed a potential game tying or game winning kick before Sundays game.

Where were the opportunities, though? Did he have any last-minute kicks last season? The season before?

I know that he's been in game-winning situations where his kicks ended up being the difference in the game, but I don't remember a lot of nail-biters since he's been here.

There's a big difference between kicking to take the lead with three minutes on the clock and kicking to take the lead with six seconds on the clock.

I think the Cards have other bigger problems than Rackers right now.Like protecting the rookie QB and opening a few running lanes for James,Reminding Bert Berry where the QB is and you ARE allowed to tackle him.You know just a few small things that come to mind.

it doesn't matter. racker missed that field goal. imo rackers should have never been in that situation in the first place. he was. so let us move on to the chicago bears game where he might be able to proove himself again.

As I said in another thread, Player rushed him and took him out of his routine before the kick. You don't do that to a kicker.

You're right Vinny, but he was. He is supposed to make those, that's why he gets the big bucks. Yes Ross should have turned his head to the Right a couple degress and Edge shouldn't have fumbled, but we were down their and could have wiped that all out with the Field Goal. Poop happens in a game, you gotta take the shot. Rackers choacked. that's the bottom line.

That was last week. I agree It all starts with the HC, but for the love of god! He has to be done. You can't count on him anymore.
