From being a fantasy stud to a dud. What went wrong and will he correct it this year.

I am attaching a picture of Rackers kicking; can anyone pick out a possible problem?

I drafted him highly in my dynasty league. That is usually all it takes.

Player's single bar is distracting. Every time Rackers sees it he starts to giggle and then pushes the kick right.

He's kicking the ball with the wrong foot! Egad.

It is actually a pretty good plant position if he wanted to drill Player in the nards.

OK seriously, I think the distractions in the off season (one of which was "who's the sexiest football player" or something) got him off track. I think he got to full of himself.

First off his foot isnt touching the ball. That is just the angle of the photo playing tricks on you.

2nd lets hope that what ever the problem was that it is fixed this year.

Even if his foot is not touching the ball, there is not enough space between his plant foot, and his kicking foot to be accurate. I would bet a ton of money that if that FG was outside of 30 yards, he missed.

According to some Bengals fans, he did the same thing in Cincy, was great and then flopped.

I would bet a ton of money that he missed it regardless, given his crappy year.

In fact if you just came up and said "I have a tape of Rackers kicking a FG from last season...I don't know which one, it comes up random. $100 to take a guess as to make or miss" I'd slap down $100 and say "he misses, now give me my effing money."

Kickers are like race horses, great when they're going well, come up lame and you got to put them down.

I'm afraid once that mental beast gets to wandering around you're toast as a kicker, hope I'm wrong.

1-49: 27/30

What a horrible kicker! He can't even convert every 50+yd FG attempt!

Clutch, blutch. That has nothing to do with why he missed those 50+ yarders. He missed them regardless. Wheter we were down 20-22 in the 4th quarter or 40-13 in the first. Plus some stupid penalties on special teams really made him look even worse. Yes, he wasn't perfect. But to blame him for not converting 7/7 FGs (50+yds) is just ridiculous.

for what its worth,Maybe its the hold. Notice the ball leaning right. I held for my brother in high school and his biggest gripe was to keep the ball vertical or it would tail.

He was 28 of 37 last year. His 28 makes were 6th best in the NFL. His 37 attempts were tied for the most.

You know that is a misleading stat. It is the same situation w/ BJ. Statistically he doesn't have bad hands, but he drops balls in the end zone. Rackers was banging out kicks in the first quarter no problem, but when the end was near or the score was close he choked. Parcells would have cut him at least three different times last year.
