The Raiders continue keeping the gang together on their defensive line. After already bringing back Adam Butler and Malcolm Koonce, they went about holding onto Zach Carter as well.

Carter was signed midway through last season and earned a spot in the Raiders interior rotation. His return means the only member of that rotation who has yet to be brought back is John Jenkins.

Originally a third-round pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2022 out of Florida, Carter was waived midway through last season and signed with the Raiders. All told, the 6-4, 290-pounder posted 22 tackles (10), 1.5 sacks, two quarterback hits in 12 games between the Bengals and Raiders.

The 6-4, 290-pounder finished last season strong, first with four combined tackles in week 15 (third highest in his career) and then tying his career high with five combined tackles in the Raiders' season finale against the Chargers. The Raiders are bringing him back to see if he can continue that momentum.
