I hope Leinart doesn't throw the ball more than 3 times. I want to see us run, run, run and then run, some more.
I don't care if we go 3 and out all night long. If thats the case we'll get a lot of work on punt coverages.
I really don't want to see our starters in for more than 2 series max.

I just wish I would never see Josh play again.. Why must we be subjected to crap?

I loved Josh' response when they announced it he said he was happy but he was very aware it had no significance beyond just the one game and that he could easily be #3 the next game.

I wasn't sure how to take it, that he's got no confidence that he can win the job, or that he realizes there's a reason they drafted Russell and signed Culpepper and he might as well take it one day at a time and control what he can and not worry about what he can't control.

By all accounts he and Walter have REALLy struggled at times in camp, Kiffin has been quoted repeatedly saying way too many INT's, that the qb's have to stop throwing the ball up for grabs under pressure if they want to win games this year. That tehy signed Daunte, a guy notoriously casual with throwing into coverage, surprised me for that reason.

It will be interesting you get the impression they have almost completely written off Walter which seemed a bit unfair since he was thrown to the wolves last year in a horrible situation. But let's face it when they drafted Russell it was inevitable if/when they sign him, the job will eventually be his.

I hope Josh does really well and Leinart sucks it up.

That way we will be treated to a minimum of 12 threads about how we already had our QB of the future and if we had Josh we could have spent #10 on somebody else. And how this is all Rod Graves fault.

1. The Cardinals do have a habit of making the opposing team's backup QB look like an All-Pro QB.

2. Would Walter make a good backup QB next year?

No!
  1. He is fragile
  2. He played well in a college offense designed such that it makes the QB look like a hero or a goat.
  3. He has plenty of opportunity in Oakland, and has not shown much
  4. He just isn't that good.

uh, if Josh does really well against our first team defense and Matt sucks against the Raiders first team defense, you're right - you'll probably see 12 threads about Rod Graves, but most likely they'll be about Graves putting together a defense so putrid it can be taken apart by a piece of garbage like McCown and on the flipside, an offense that is going to get our QB of the future killed.

I know the above is hyperbole, but there isn't ONE darksider who regularly rips on Graves (for good reason) who would EVER want Josh back on this team over Leinart.

Rod Graves, the man who brought you Jeff Blake, the "caretaker" QB, who was all we needed to.....finish dead last in points scored.
