28 catches in the last 20 games over 2 years?

A seventh round flyer by the Raiders, who draft anyone with speed, whether or not they can even play football.

Alright, you never know, I guess.

Why do you say that? Because he's unreliable due to injuries? He's certainly talented enough to be a no. 2.

Hmm likewise... What makes you say he is talented enough? Certainly don't think you are basing that off his on field play?

Sure I am. Have you seen him play? He's a good WR.

I watch a lot of football and have watched some Raider games. Yet have never even heard of this guy until he was coming in for a visit. He has been in football for 4 years and even when he plays his stat line doesn't appear to be very impressive. I could probably name most #2's around the league. Yet this guy is a ghost.

You say he is a good player?? Im wondering what you base it off of?? Because his results of four years of NFL football certainly don't back that up. Maybe you have seen him have a good game or two. But I have seen many WR's have decent outing here and there but still aren't legit #2 WR in this league.

He is someone who the past two years is picked as the sleeper wideout to break out because of his size and speed. And between injuries and playing with a new QB every week in OAK, I don't think he has ever broken out.

I agree with Pariah completely (and yes I have watched him play, and seen some of his huge game) that this guy has the talent if he can stay healthy (seems like a big if)...but his past might make him a lot cheaper than other number twos. I think he is a GREAT upside #2 guy, just not for real #2 money....middle-high end #3 with incentives and I'd be very happy with the signing.

Shane, just because you haven't heard of him it doesn't mean he's not a good player. I see a lot of Raider games in Denver, and yes, based on that I think he's a good player. Certainly good enough to be a solid #2...IF he can stay healthy.

You just nailed why he is a good choice for the Cardinals, because 'we' probably don't have the cap space to sign a legitimate #2 WR like Laurent Robinson. He's an injury risk, but so is Early Doucet and this guy seems to have more upside than Early, especially if he has a full offseason to learn Whis' offense.

As the Cards have requested a meeting with Robinson, they are clearly prepared to make space for a #2. How much, who knows?

They won't do anything with Robinson until the Manning situation is resolved IMO.

Take another FA WR target off the board.

Sucks.

I think the end of Manning-gate will make the Cardinals re-think the "need" for a WR.

At least for one that will sign during the first wave of free agency.

I can smell Limas Sweed, or Mike Williams (if released) being brought in.

Yes, because he is unreliable. He may produce like a 2nd WR, but to sign him to fill that slot is setting yourself up for disappointment.

I think with cap space freeing up since they are not running after PM, they will re-sign Early Doucet.

Exactly what I was thinking. I have a feeling the Cards are happy with the majority of the roster they had at the end of last season and aren't going to make any major changes other than the #1 draft pick's spot.
