Steve Wyche, of NFL.com, reports St. Louis Rams QB Marc Bulger has been named the team's starting quarterback for the rest of the season, according to head coach Jim Haslett.

That's very optimistic considering the quality of the Rams O-line and the fragility of Marc Bulger.

"Rest of the season or as long as he remains upright, whichever comes first" would have been more accurate.

This is the smart thing to do. Linehan's desperation in benching Bulger just 15 starts after his giant contract stank to high heaven. I wouldn't hire him to run an ice-cream truck.
