This is what I'd do, if I were BA:

IMO the Seattle and San Francisco games are more winnable, based on playing Seattle at home and the fact that San Francisco will probably implode even more and be out of it by week 17.

With that in mind, for this week's match-up, I'd probably game plan similar to Seattle a few weeks ago...Keep it close in the first half and see if the offense can get anything going...At half-time, re-evaluate, and if the Cards are down by 2 or more TD's and/or the offense is completely inept, just go ultra conservative...keep it from becoming an embarrassing blowout and keep your players healthy. They will have 10 days to prepare for Seattle, which is a way more meaningful game, IMO.

That's just how I'd handle it...How about you?

I hope he goes all out. The only concern I have with that is injuries. I don't want him to go conservative as it will not only add another loss to the record, but kill the mood the players are in right now.

Attack aggressively. They are a threat but if we go up fast on them, they wont be a threat anymore. Win out baby!

1. The message for the D is quite simple: set the tempo i.e. don't lay an egg the first quarter like the last few games. Of course, this is better said than done... I think they were so amped up yesterday in trying to stop the run that they over-extended themselves, forcing a few of our safeties (namely #22) to take bad angles (you can see TJ was completely out of position in anticipation of a run on that long Charles TD).

2. Get the OL to protect Stanton like he's their first born. Quinn scares the crap outta me. I live in DC and saw the Redskins game first hand. There was a play in the third quarter where Quinn was so quick off the snap that the Skins LT did not even move one iota before Quinn was able to "arm-tackle" McCoy into a sack. And I think Quinn was being generous - he could have snapped McCoy in two.

3. Get Stanton to look off his first receiver. Can we incentivize him somehow that he shouldn't throw to his first read 200% of the time? Keim is creative, maybe he can work a clause in Drew's contract to include a new traveling nanny for his newborn if he could just throw 3x to a 2nd read for one game...

4. Watch out for bubble screens and wheel routes. We played a completely different QB the first time around. They're getting alot of success coming off of screens with Shaun Hill. Tavon Austin and Zac Stacy are coming into their own, and Tre Mason is pretty shifty for his size. Honey Badger was covering alot of Austin in the first game, pretty sure Powers will assume that role now.

After the Seattle game the Cardinals came out flat as a pancake against the Falcons and were out of the game halfway through the first quarter.

Play every player we have on the Taxi Team, let's see if we have anymore hidden talent there.

This is how I would approach the game plan.

License to kill gophers (aka Rams) by the government of the United Nations. Man, free to kill gophers (aka Rams) at will. To kill, you must know your enemy, and in this case my enemy is a varmint. And a varmint will never quit - ever. They're like the Viet Cong - Varmint Cong. So you have to fall back on superior firepower and superior intelligence. And that's all she wrote.

This is a game that makes some people in St Louis happy no matter who wins. It is nice to know that so many people in St Lou will be rooting for their dear ole Cards. At least we have that going for us.

I was actually thinking about this today...

RUN...RUN...AND RUN SOME MORE!!!

We were fortunate Stanton didn't get intercepted twice (end-zone and AGAIN, :bang: across the middle) The Rams are coming up-field like their hair's on fire so I would screen a lot and hope for an opening one of our backs can sneak through and get to the 2nd-level.

IF we can run we will keep the game close and I think that's the best strategy.

In order to be successful offensively, you must establish the run. This is why Stanton was successful yesterday. It's no coincidence that he found open receivers when he had a back on his way to a 100 yard game. It will also keep the Rams offense off the field.

In a van...down by the river.
On defense: Get to Shaun Hill early. Make him move. Exploit the weak interior of the Rams OLine. He likes to step up into the pocket. Take the deep stuff away from Kenny Britt. That's Shaun's guy when he goes downfield. Bracket Jared Cook and clog the seam. Have to shut down Tre Mason on the outside runs and sweeps. Don't punt to T.Austin.

On offense: Use misdirection a lot. Run a lot of screens and reverses. Try not to give up on the run. Go at MLB Laurinaitis. He's slowing down.
Get the ball out quick using the short game. Don't let the Rams get an early lead. Get Logan Thomas some reps this week.

Those are all free tips. :)
Cheers to a clean game and a Rams win

Got it, so what you are really saying as a enemy fan is make sure and contain Hill in the pocket. Don't worry too much about Britt and keep a man up in the box to deny Mason any running room on the inside. Punt to Austin, dude could fumble and forget about Cook because we don't cover TEs anyways

Then, avoid screens and reverses because you have a talented front line which will just make those plays result in a loss of five. Go deep on your secondary... and what ever you do, do not put Logan Thomas anywhere close to the field of play and we agree with you lol

I think that is key. A ball control offense that gets the run going allows Stanton to take advantage of the defense. I think it will be key have less turnovers than the Rams. I think this will be a defensive, field position-type game that will be very low scoring. I would like to keep their defensive line confused with play-action passes, screens and delayed draws.

Offense run the ball with Williams
Defense put pressure on Hill we need to create turnovers. Last game against them Peterson had a pick 6.
Special Teams contain Tavon Austin

Every game is a playoff game for the rest of the season: there is no shutting it down to stay healthy( as if that's even possible with this team). There is still an opportunity to miss the playoffs.

Like many have already posted the run game has to be featured. I would also go mass protect and throw a bomb to John Brown early. Make sure Stanton knows that he either hits Brown if he is open or over throws it (no interception). Need the Rams to be concerned about the long ball so the safeties don't crowd the box.

Ginn should also be targeted on a bomb or two. BA needs to get in the officials ears before the game starts about DB's holding.

Then have some come back patterns where the WR takes off on a go route for about 20 yds then stops and comes back towards the QB for a 15 yd gain.

Veldheer's ankle is still hurting him so he will need help with the quick DE's of the Rams.

Alot of deep passes and alot of runs. That's Stanton's bread and butter(the long ball). Both will help each other. No turnovers and the D needs to hold the team under 10 points.
