Los Angeles Rams receiver Puka Nacua missed some time in 2024, but when he was on the field he proved to be one of the most explosive receivers in the league.
Nacua finished the season with 990 yards and three touchdowns on 79 receptions in just 11 games this past season with 47 first downs. However, Nacua's explosive play rate (receptions greater than 10 yards downfield) ranked third among pass-catchers with at least 70 receptions in 2024. Per the 33rd Team, 35.4% of Nacua's receptions in 2024 were considered explosive.
Nacua is now poised to be the clear No. 1 target in L.A. Davante Adams should garner a significant amount of targets, but Nacua is the player who has the most rapport with Matthew Stafford and has proved to be an effective route-runner at every level of the offense.
A third season in the NFL and with the Rams as well as healthy offseason (hopefully) should make things even better for Nacua. The Rams are looking to compete immediately in 2025, and Nacua will undoubtedly be a big part of that plan.
