Alright lets have em. In all my years as a fan. I sometimes think of, or are reminded of some of the mundane, mostly irritating memories of a particular game. Some I thought of recently. Do you guys remember?

When Randal "thrill" Hill aka the dollar store Michael Irvin left the Cards for the Saints and lifted up his shirt to show a Superman logo after a long catch. I wanted someone to decapitate him after that.

When Tito Paul cried after Chris Carter embarrassed him for a whole game.

When Jay Taylor intetntionally ran into the ref during an interception return instead of scoring, to set up the Leeland McElroy 5 cracks from 1st and goal" against the eagles. Idiot.

When Seth Joyner got tossed from the Jets game. I had to watch that game on a small tv at the back of a sports bar in DC, as NO ONE cared about the Jets or Cards.

Tom Knights first interception! 2 years after the fact against the Skins. Whoohoo!

Share yours!

Watching Rolle get his first pick against the Redskins while thinking "this kid might be darn good".

*sigh* still time, still time.

It wasn't on live where I lived but I'll never forget CBS cutting into my local game to show highlights of OJ Anderson's first carry as a Card. Ripped off a long gain and was so pumped up he spiked the ball and got a penalty.

I remember watching that and thinking man this kid is special.

And the other one I've mentioned before, think it was a Monday night game, they kick off to Metcalf(Terry not Eric) and he takes it all the way back for a score. But there's a penalty flag, so they line up and kick it again and Terry returns THAT one for a TD too. I know it happened I watched it with my own eyes but I've never been able to find any source to confirm that I didn't imagine it?

I even read something in a paper once that says it's never happened in an NFL game(Player returns consecutive KO's for TD's due to first one called back by penalty) . I know I saw it maybe it was in a preseason game?

Helping Donald clean his garage on a late fall afternoon in 2003. We hooked up a TV in the garage and watched the Cardinals get obliterated at SF, 50-14. We ended up going out to the street and tossing the football.

Listening to Charles Barkley on MNF last year and him telling us that the Cards were going to blow this game.

That's the one I was going to mention. God that sucked.

Sitting at SDS vs. the Giants in '98, when it was sleeting and cold as all hell...they were serving hot chocolate in the stadium...HOT CHOCOLATE!!

Ahh! The days of Irv Cross and the boys. I also remember they cut into a game when he broke the rookie rushing record. (That was OJ Anderson right?)

Low Points:

Leaving Terrell Owens uncovered... for the easiest TD this side of Steve Bono's blistering 75 yard jog. Watched that at the bar with a bunch of asfn'ers and some jackass that had Mo Williams on his fantasy team and wouldn't shut the hell up about it (my bad fellas, I've hated fantasy football ever since). Mo Williams. Mo Williams. I've got Mo Williams. Mo Williams. Mo Mo Mo. Williams Williams Williams.

Russ coming back from fishing, losing his favorite Cardinal hat in the wind and saying, "Ah, screw it" instead of going back to get it. I'm sure the November draft discussion cheered you right up though! I think that pretty much summed up this decade of Cardinal football so far.

High Points:

Breaking my knee cap after a 2000 Eagles game.

My buddy breaking a rib under the goal post after the Jacke field goal.

My other buddy blowing snot bubbles out of his nose on my windshield after passing out face down on my hood after some game.

Other buddy tackling the big Coors Light can in front of Fumbles (or whatever it's called now) after a 38-0 loss to the Seahawks. One of the funnest games I've ever been to.

They've sucked, but it's been fun as hell.

Another from me, if ya'll don't mind.

Seeing the newly monsterized David Boston during a game against the Broncos and never thinking it was a result of anything but hard work.

Ah to be young and innocent once more.

"In my estimation, it's not unreasonable for this team to go 8-8."

--Rod Graves.

The product that this team put out on the field that season was criminal. Seriously. If Anquan Boldin hadn't turned out to be the steal of that draft, there would have been 5,000 people at SDS to end that season.

Portland Oregon these days.
Sitting in a Vegas sportsbook casino watching a preseason Cards game in 1999. I'd watch the waitress running between the rows, and thinking her tray was going to be knocked down when somebody scored.

The Cards scored, and I punched the air -- yep, her tray was right over my head. Beer and scotch flew everywhere, I was drenched, and the room went silent.

Then some guy says, "Man, she must really like the Cardinals."

.

That cost us David Boston IIRC which in hindsight wasn't so bad. I seem to remember the next day or whatever is when Boston signed with the Chargers?

Yep I was blazing along the Delta(25mph is blazing in my boat) and off
went the hat. Looked back, thought that thing is ancient, dirty as hell, and
now soaking wet, so I just let it go and bought a new one later.

In St. Louis, when Roy Green started for the first time as a WR, playing the Redskins. Redskins could not stop Supergreen all day, even with double coverage. As I remember, Big Red 40- Skins 30. What a game.

Ha ha! Awesome.

I remember stumbling to the Sportsbook at Mandelay in 2004 (Cards @ CAR) wondering why the hell McCown wasnt starting.

Do you guys remember that we played the Buccaneers twice a year for like 2 years in a row? I'll have to check that, but before realignment, the schedules were all over the place. No divisions against divisions in interconference play. Meaning you could play for example the Raiders, Steelers, Dolphins and the Browns in the same year.

Nov. 7, 1965, Safety Larry Wilson plays with casts on both arms and intercepts a pass in a 21-17 Big Red victory.

I just saw those clips on NFL Net's "Top 10 Draft Steals" show. I never realized how awesome he was.

By truly dreadful teams, as well. Here are the teams we lost to and their final records:

Sep 7 @Detroit Lost 24-42 5-11, Drafted Top 10
Sep 14 Seattle Lost 0-38 10-6, Wild Card team
Sep 28 @St. Louis Lost 13-37 12-4, Won division
Oct 5 @Dallas Lost 7-24 10-6, Wild Card
Oct 12 Baltimore Lost 18-26 10-6, Won division
Nov 9 @Pittsburgh Lost 15-28 6-10, Drafted Top 10
Nov 16 @Cleveland Lost 6-44 5-11, Drafted Top 5
Nov 23 St. Louis Lost 27-30
Nov 30 @Chicago Lost 3-28 7-9
Dec 7 @San Francisco Lost 14-50 7-9
Dec 14 Carolina Lost 17-20 11-5, Won division
Dec 21 @Seattle Lost 10-28

Man, what a fabulous time that 7 game losing streak was. Those Cleveland and Pittsburgh teams were bad. Like truly dreadful. And the following season, Kordell Stewart was our #1 FA quarterback target!

I remember that...My friend and I stopped to get rain gear before the game. What made it worse is the Giants ran the ball on almost every play in the 2nd half to salt the game away.

Another miserable experience!

1984-Cards play Redskins for division championship. The as@#@# in central Illinois instead decide to show a meaningless Bears/Lions game even when the Cards game is listed in TV Guide as the game to be shown.

1997-My first trip to Flagstaff. Tons of people ask me if I am Jake Plummer's older brother. Pretty cool stuff.

1998-San Diego game. Get an awesome picture after the game with Pat Tillman. He is getting on his bicycle to ride home. Awesome stuff.
