Tropical Storm Erin hit Houston today. Will the Texans be able to get out of town any time soon? Do they practice in Houston? I can't find any info on where their preseason camp takes place.

Here is the official scouting report of the Cardinals on the Texans' website:
http://www.houstontexans.com/news/Story.asp?story_id=3505

Jared Zabransky is returning to the site of his greatest collegiate moment.

Notes from Houston Texans
Associated Press - August 13, 2007 7:25 PM ET
HOUSTON (AP) - Here are notes today from the Houston Texans:
Fullback Jameel Cook, who is on the physically-unable-to-perform list, returned to practice today for the first time since suffering a knee injury in November.

Also back after missing almost two weeks of practice was first-year Texans player Keenan McCardell. The 37-year-old receiver was out with a hamstring problem.

The Texans want to add depth in the secondary after safety Glenn Earl and cornerback Jason Horton had season-ending injuries in Saturday preseason loss to Chicago.

Houston will bring in former Carolina Panthers free safety Shaun Williams for a workout tomorrow.

Williams, who's a 9-year NFL veteran, is an unrestricted free agent.
The Texans continue their preseason on Saturday by visiting Arizona

Outside of some glaring errors (on personnel), he writes what we all know here.

An OK read

I would still rather see Vince Young as a Texan.

Mario Williams > Reggie Bush
Mario Williams > Vince Young
Mario Williams > Matt Leinart

We are going to be able to throw all day on them.

One note though, in case you guys didn't know Mario was unable to practice at all w/ the team during the season last year due to his foot ailments. He was taking to cortizone shots prior to every game too. I look for him to be much better this year. But no, not better than Bush, Leinart or Young.

the rain here was pretty bad. folks were stuck on the highways for hours. The city evermore has flooding problemos and today was no exception. The team should be able to travel though.

Don't look past the Texans this season. just sayin'.

ETA I believe the Texans have camp right by Reliant.

I agree.

I still think Schaub and Ahman Green are big ? But with those two positions solved, the Texans will be a playoff team IMO.

As crazy as it sounds, they have a chance. A better chance than some other teams I believe.

I can't see it. the afc is so tough and houston has been so bad. The QB will have to be the real deal. it was a p.r. nightmare to pass on young or bush. Most texans fans were pretty clear that they wanted one or the other. Aside from that both of those guys will have a much bigger imapact in the nfl IMO. but the verdict isn't out on williams. we'll see what type of pass rusher he is. maybe they should have gone after merriman or Dware the year prior.

I tend to think that it Kubiak can install the system he wants to than the Texans get good fast. We've seen how friendly his system can be offensively.

I also believe they have a lot of very interesting pieces defensively. It's just a heck of a division to try to climb out of the cellar.

With a possible Super Bowl hangover looming for the Colts, the Titans and the Jags looking more human than ever the Texans COULD suprise.

I don't see them winning the division; I see them in the Wild Card hunt. A lot of AFC divisions will beat up on each other--the AFC South won't to the same degree.

Whoa whoa whoa. Are you serious?

The Texans do not win more than 7 this year.

IF Schuab and Green solidify theri positions...yes.

Carr was keeping that franchise back. The defense is very good and if they can score some points, they are an 8 or 9 win team.

Friendly wager on that? I'll take the Texas 7 and under and you take 8 and over. A beer at the game sometime?

I know it is the preseason, but Rex Grossman and Kyle Orton passed all over that defense.

Under.

Carr was keeping that franchise back? Isn't he on the verge of unseating Delhomme in Carolina?

I'm pretty sure getting sacked 249 times is not ALL on the QB.

I agree. 8-8 is the record in my opinion, they might be able to get 9 if they get a few breaks. And that might be good enough for a wild card.

Carr lost the faith of the team, and he didn't have any in them. He needed a change of scenery. He has the talent to be good but it wasn't going to happen in Houston.
