Just looked at this weeks rankings by Brian Billick and the NFC West is the most dominating division in football. Three teams are ranked in the top ten.
1. Seahawks
2. 49ers
9. Cardinals
20. Rams

Two other divisions have two teams
AFC West
3. Broncos
6. Chiefs

NFC South
4. Panthers
5. Saints

The best the NFC East could do is the Eagles at #16. It is the worst division in the rankings.

I am kinda rooting for the Rams to win out for a couple of reasons.

1. It hurts their draft stock (even though they will get the Skins' pick too)
2. It would make them 8-8 and result in the entire Division having non-losing records. When does that happen?
3. They can't catch us.
4. It'd be nice if they could knock the Seahawks teeth out the last game of the season.

This one uses a formula to rank the teams. Cards are ahead of denver at #5 and the Rams are ranked 10th.

But yet they still get some of the prime time games. Doesn't make me sad to see them like this.

According to that site, we're ranked 30th out of the 32 for Passing Defense... so much for having an elite CB & a better than average #2 CB.

The only thing that saves us is our Rushing Defense is #3.

I can't find a single ranking for just Pass Defense. What I see is a whole bunch of different ranking categories that relate to passing.

I believe what you are seeing is "Opponent pass attempts per game". The sub categories I mentioned above are located on the right side of the page.

If you look at the left side they have a link to division rankings and the NFC West is on top. They have it broken down by division records against ranked teams so for example the NFC West is 9-12 against the #1-5 ranked teams, 4-1 vs 6-10 ranked; 5-3 vs 11-16; 4-1 vs 17-22; and a whopping 15-2 vs 23-32 ranked teams.
