God that's gotta hurt! Plantar fascitis is maybe the most painful "injury" I ever had in sports, to actually partially tear it has to be unbearable.

Dorsey sucks, no arm at all.

I like Rattay he's better than their record indicates.

Frisco is the poster child for cap hell. They are at about the lowest nether regions you can get to.

If we LOSE Sunday to this Team I may officially jump ship ... A loss to a team as bad as the 49ers are now would be the offical LOW of the season...We just CAN'T be Worse than the 9ers....no way..... :help:

Agreed! If we get swept by this 49er team I will just puke! The 49ers are just awful..and if they sweep the Cards then the Cards are worse..I don't care about the records...

How often do you see him? He has a startlingly bad habit of just chucking the ball up for grabs to avoid sacks, not passes mind you, just chucking it. He's lost 2 games at least this year with picks that were thrown right to a DL to avoid a sack. he's had similar fumbles. He has 10 picks which isn't horrible, but 11 fumbles, 6 lost and he's played in 9 games. Their OL isn't great at all he's been sacked 37 times, but he's just got an alarming habit of panicking and giving the ball away.

Right now everyone in the bay area wants to see Cody Pickett play, it's the #3 QB has to be better syndrome again.

I know he does all that, you're just still suffering the aftershocks of Jake.

Some QB's on bad teams do learn... :D

I'd panic there too, I just think he's overall not too bad when you consider who's coaching him and who he's playing with.

I'm the QB there and I'm any good at all I pay someone to break my leg preferably someone with a medical degree so I won't suffer permanent damage.

No kidding.

You have a point. I just can't recall seeing a QB look so panicked so consistently as Rattay has this year.

But they do have a weak OL.

Which reminds me, if we can get Berry on Kwame Harris in this game he can pad his NFL high sack total, so far Harris looks like a complete bust.

This Niners team is in such disarray. I've heard that they won't even be able to afford their potential 1st pick in the draft. We honestly can not lose this game. The Cardinals are a better team. I think we all can agree on that.

That makes no sense, the tv money pays the salary. They may not WANT to pay the bonus, but I gotta believe they can.

I don't think they want the #1 but mainly because they don't believe the first pick is any better than the 5th pick in this draft.

FYI rumor is they're trying to get out of the Barlow contract, he has an option in year 2 they may refuse to pick up because he's been so disappointing. I used to really like that guy but he's basically quit on the team, he may have to do a Hambrick type resurrection I don't think teams will beat down his door if SF releases him. Major talent but it appears that Beasley was right about him.

The Cards may get a break when the Rams play here as well...Not that it helped when the Cards played the Jets :(

Chandler to start for Rams

NFL.com wire reports

ST. LOUIS (Dec. 6, 2004) -- For at least another week, the St. Louis Rams offense will be in the hands of 39-year-old Chris Chandler, the backup to the injured Marc Bulger. Luckily, he doesn't feel his age.

"I feel very much like I always have, since I first came into the league," Chandler said. "I'll tell you what, you only get one chance to play this game and when it's over, it's over.

"I'm getting close to that time, so every time I'm out there I just try to have fun."

Bulger sprained his right shoulder on a sack by Bryant Young with 1:40 left in the first quarter of the Rams' 16-6 victory over the 49ers. The injury is identical to one he sustained at Miami on Oct. 24, when he would have missed one week except the Rams (6-6) had a bye.

Coach Mike Martz said that Bulger, who had led the NFL in yards passing before Sunday, didn't completely recover from the earlier injury until last week.

"There is a little bit of swelling in the joint, but there's no damage evidently to the ligaments that hold the joint together, which is terrific," Martz said. "Hopefully we'll get him back in short order, but we'll have to see."

Chandler was 18 for 27 for 216 yards and his first touchdown pass in more than a year. He'll be making his 151st career start for an NFL-record seven teams, and that includes an earlier stint in 1994 with the Rams when Martz was the team's quarterback coach.

Wasn't talking about TV money. I meant the salary cap. They don't have enough room to sign a first rounder to a lucrative deal.

Yes they do, they HAVE to put aside a certain amount of money for their rookie pool and their current plan projects them to have 14 million in caproom WITHOUT the cap going up.

Here's an article that quotes Donahue on this very point, it's not caproom it's not being sure anybody in this draft is worth what the first pick will cost them.
