Hey all, I am selling my Rattlers season tickets.

Section 106, Row 25 - two seats

I paid 180 for the pair but will sell for 150. I got these before my crazy debt turn around, and now with the second job, I can't make ONE of these games :(

PM me if interested :)

But what happens if the Rattlers dont make the playoffs and they refund your money? Will you pay the person who buys them?

Just asking, not causing trouble, just thought of that..

Sp let me get this straight. Arena league teams have started giving refunds on your season tickets if they dont make the playoffs?

How the hell do they stay in business?

They just started this, this year to try and get attendance up. It is definitely risky.

I don't know if it's "teams" or just the Rattlers.

Sounds like the dumbest business decision I have ever heard.

The Rattlers have consistently been a very good arena team. If they have attendance problems I dont know if anything will help. Phoenix kills me.

It's only dumb if they miss the playoffs. :)

Its just the Rattlers and they're the first team known to offer this deal. Its a big gamble, but they have gotten a lot of press for doing it.

Tickets now down to $100 bucks. And no Gee, if the Rattlers don't make the playoffs, I get the money.

I heard the Rattlers are holding on by a thread anyways, so if the have to refund the money they will probably go under. Of course if they hadn't done the promotion then they probably would have gone under anyways because of lack of ticket sales.

Which would be monstrously dumb. Good chance they wont make it this year IMO.

They have a insurance policy the cover the lost money. I furniture store in Boston last spring had a sale that stated if anything purchased during spring training would be fully refunded if the Red Sox won the World Series. He took out a insurance policy that cost him 50K, but he sold close to a million in product and the insurance company covered the entire refund. He said if you take the 50K away he made close to 300K in profit more than any other year because of that promotion. That is were the Rattlers got the idea. The team President was on the KTAR late show after Gambo and Ash back in December and said all fund lost were insured, so it is a win win situation.

So I think is is a very smart move.

agreed - pending on the insurance this is a good move - with the smaller # of games and a relatively small stadium ticket revenue isn't the driving force anyway

if the team makes the playoffs it's a great year - what they are doing is building publicity and hopefully attendance in a transitional year that many can't get a finger on the direction

revenue will be made in merchandising, concessions, etc -

No kidding new uniforms = buy new jersey for the grandson. $72 yikes, but it did have the number 5 on it (inside joke) and I bought his old one at a clearance sale for $10.
