Looking to maintain continuity with their storied franchise, the Baltimore Ravens announced that they've agreed to a three-year contract extension with Head Coach John Harbaugh.
The 62-year-old Harbaugh has been the Ravens’ head coach since 2008 after earning a reputation as the Eagles' special-teams coordinator. In 2012, Harbaugh led the Ravens to a Super Bowl XLVII victory over the 49ers and was named NFL coach of the year for the 2019 season.
There was some talk of Harbaugh being on the hot seat after the Ravens lost in the divisional round to the Bills last year and the AFC Championship Game to the Chiefs the year before. The contract shows that owner Steve Bisciotti has a belief that Harbaugh can get the Ravens over the hump in the AFC playoffs and win another Super Bowl.
Harbaugh has a record of 172-104 in the regular season and 13-11 in the postseason.
