The Baltimore Ravens and Atlanta Falcons played a scoreless first quarter in the matchup of AFC and NFC co-leaders. Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan and Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco, who were both drafted in the first round of 2008, were facing each other for the first time. Ryan, attempting to improve to 18-1 at the Georgia Dome, completed nine of 12 passes in the opening period Thursday night.
