He is much, much smarter than me. I didn't understand what he was doing with his scheme but he sure has taught me quite a lesson

The "Man" is whoever made the call on drafting Sam Acho. The Cards defense made a 180 degree turn when Sam came in for Porter.

Now let's get his little brother to take Lenon's place, lock up CC and we'll have a tough D for the next 3-4 years.

I need to find a Cards jersey with the #34 on it, don't care who's name it is. Then I will put a dash in between the numbers (3-4) and stitch CORNROW up in the name spot. I'll give someone 10 bucks for their Hightower jersey right now!

Horton is the first DC I can remember that is actually putting pressure on the QB and not having everyone play "Off" the LOS. What an amazing turnaround, since the 1st half of the season.

Him getting a HC position could be a real concern.

Horton is a good DC...and playing the young guys is finally paying off.

They will only get better, but I already love their swagger.

We turned Alex Smith into.....Alex Smith!

First time in many years I actually felt we were going to stop the 49ers on the final drive.

Best combination of pressure and scheme by a Cardinal defense in a long, long time.

Based on some nice defensive performances the last few weeks?

Get real... He's not going anywhere.

I don't think he was suggesting we'd lose him tomorrow. If he can turn around our defense this dramatically then it probably won't take more than a year or two of success before he ends up on someone's radar.

Yep... I had the same feeling! Complete turnaround from decades of Cardinals defense.

Isn't it great to watch the right side of the Cardinals defensive line not disintegrate on run plays?

I didnt say right away. But could def happen in next season or 2 if this defense continues like this. Legitimate possibility!

not this year. first year coordinator... on a team that probably doesn't make the playoffs? Nah. He's got to have a couple years under his belt and this D needs to get us to the playoffs before people come a calling.

I agree and said as much. However tell that Mike Tomlin. Who was never even a Coordinator.

Co-sign on Acho in for that stiff Porter as being critical to this run. Great draft pick, and good to see Schofield getting extra snaps as well.

On Lennon, I have to admit to being very impressed by him this year. He is the very definition of a "professional". Very consistent effort. Makes many solid, fundamental plays. On that last 4th and 1, he covered shifty Kendall Hunter for a whopping 13 seconds. Great effort.

Lenon will give you solid games, he just is limited athletically.
