We'll see....

**************
Former 49ers safety Donte Whitner has said Jim Harbaugh has told his players violence against women will not be tolerated.

“He said that we can do anything in the world and we can come and talk to him and he’ll forgive us except put our hands on women,” Whitner said in 2012. “If you put your hand on a woman, then you’re done in his book.”

I think we are seeing the Harbaugh era unravel the same way the Switzer era did in Dallas , the team is falling apart under his leadership .

Don't get this at all. Why even risk it? Especially if his girlfriend is pregnant. Should be interesting on how this all unfolds.

Move over Cincinnati:

"McDonald is the 10th 49ers player to be arrested in the past 32 months. Since 2012, the 49ers lead the league in player arrests, according to a San Diego Union-Tribune database, which tracks NFL arrests."

The NFL should have a grandfather clause regarding domestic abuse. Those already in the NFL gets 1 mulligan in order to get it out of their system. Their rage has been building up against their spouse for years probably, and it is only fair that they get to let it out once and for all before being held accountable to any new stringent rules.

Personally, I think everyone in life should get 1 mulligan to use whenever they want no matter what they did wrong. After all, we are all human and no one is perfect. Forgiveness is at the root of all religions.

The NFL is American. And America represents God and the principals of Christianity. Everyone, the NFL, spouses, friends, employers, all should live by the Mulligan Rule of Life, forgive and forget the most grievous trespass any of us will make once in our lives. And believe me, we all will if we haven't already.

How can this oipinion be respected? There is nothing respectable or even rational about this view. I get Grace but Grace comes after the sin not as a free pass to commit it.

Are you kidding me?!?!? I guess you don't have a daughter.

And the idiots on this board that say its OK to beat a woman if she hits first, really??? A 6'2" 250 pound linebacker has to break a tiny little woman's collar bone to "defend" himself????????

I swear Tim K. lives for when things go bad for the 49ers. He's going beserk on twitter right now...or has been for the past couple hours/days.

Tim Kawakami ‏@timkawakami 2m
I didn't arrest him, FYI. RT @Squirefw If McDonald is guilty he should be cut. If he is not you owe the 9ers and all its fans a apology.

Seriously. Just because you got caught, doesn't mean it was the first time it happened.

I think what he was saying was that it's OK to have that opinion. Not that he was right or that Sissy's ideas should be implemented or that those kinds of actions are acceptable.

I was going to say the same thing, people have a right to express their opinion but I don't have to respect it and his opinion is crap IMO.

The local news is all over this, Channel 2 had a reporter following McDonald while he said wait for the truth to come out you all know what kind of person I am etc.

He may well be telling the truth but the Sports guy said the problem is it's yet another black mark on the organization recently and leads to the continuing perception that the 49ers are trying to win at all costs. Apparently the feeling is the obvious, they will let the legal system run its course but if McDonald did what he's accused of he's probably done in Santa Clara.
