Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt said RB Ryan Williams (knee) is close to fully participating in practice. Williams has been able to do everything except seven-on-seven drills during workouts.

Arizona Cardinals RB Beanie Wells (knee) said he hopes to be ready for training camp but he may be limited at the start of camp because of his injured knee.

If I see either of our 2 starting backs in preseason I'll be annoyed. Whis already got Beanie injured in a preseason game, I don't think he'll do it again.

Like Duane Thomas replied when they asked him if he thought the Super Bowl was the ultimate game "They play it again next year don't they". Nothing about sports really matters.

Feminine-looking-dudes making cakes and creme-bruole's (however you spell that stupid sh*t) and explaining how to pepper a steak and yelling at cute chicks for messing up the sauce or if it's not that then dudes dancing or singing on some idol BS or reality TV in a life I'll never have or want to have but they're making millions doing it. That's the sh*t my wife puts on TV when there's no football for me to dominate, do you understand? Football matters, at least to my life it does. Very much indeed. Without football I'm relegated to actual reading of books and magazines while some idiot yell's, "It's raw!!" in the background.

One thing I learned a LONG time ago when it comes to girls. Either they get it, football, or they don't. Trade in the one that doesn't get football or you'll be posting like Jeff Gollin does "when Mrs. Dr. Gollin lets me I ....."

There was a survey of guys years ago that paid a good sum for participating. You had to go to their office to join in. There were two lines. One was for guys who were henpecked their entire lives and one was for guys who were boss. The director came down and saw the line for henpecked guys stretched around the block. But the only person in the "guys who were boss" line was Jeff Gollin. When the director asked Jeff what the deal was that the henpecked line was over a block long and yet here he was the only guy in the line for guys who were boss Jeff replied "I dont' know. This is where Mrs. Gollin told me to stand."

We have a tradeoff; she watches football with me--and man, she makes the best football food you could ever imagine, like feeding an army of football dudes and bringing me beers--and I pretend to watch her really bad shows offseason. But mostly I'm reading magazines or books when it's not football season. At least she does watch football, she knows all the players and what's going on and just feeds me like I'm Jabba-the-freaking-hutt.

It's better than porn, cuz I get to eat and still bang her afterwards and she keeps coming back for more.

I don't think he said it to hurt ur feelings lol. I took it as a joke, a little ribbing between fellow posters. I'd much rather be joked around that I let my beautiful wife control my life (because lets face it, her decision making is just better than most of ours anyway lol) rather than be told that the guy I think will play well, on a team we ALL root for, is actually going to suck and I'm an idiot.

Well, I tell my wife to get off the computer so I can post and I watch the Playboy channel during football commercial breaks while she cooks me food wearing a Beanie Wells jersey .

She does deserve credit though. One time she made a make shift cooler that held 4 beers and brought it upstairs to me so I didn't have to go downstairs for anything while watching a Cardinals game. .

Thanks Spanky -I gained another eye twitch reading some of the domestic crap posted like a twisted soap opera - as the stomach turns. I hope Jeff keeps his wife and life happy for decades to come. They both deserve happy.

I'm pretty old school and think that run practice and fundementals, are more important than complicated scheme and the pass game. Whiz had been trying to establish the pass and then trick the defense with a THT draw from a pass formation for years now. When He inserted Edge or Beanie it was pretty much in a run formation, If it was not it wax really predictable.

My point is that no matter who the personell, I hope our team establishes solid fundementals these 5 preseason games. We should not even try a forward pass until the run game is a smooth well oiled machine. It seems like a no brainer but it is not! We have passed nearly 2/3rds of the time and been last in rushing attempts and yards over the last 5 years.

Defenses are geared toward pass defense, giving the run game a slight edge - as the NFL pendulum swings toward this decade( weve seen this before) I think honestly we are in a great position with 2 young premier backs. Either can control a game if Whisenstupid TELLS Mike Miller to let them control the game. (patients is a virtue-not a cardinal virtue but a virtue)

Fitz and Floyd can not control every game, occasionally but not consistantly- that is the featured Running Back's job and a coach needs to feed him not starve him. If a defense adjusts to stop the featured RB- Fitz, Floyd and the crowd goes wild*%#@ I can hear it now.......
