Wells has the most upside. If he stays healthy he's the most explosive of the backs out there.

Moreno is the safest pick, plus he has excellent receiving skills

I dont love any of the other guys

Brewster10, wells is listed at 6'1" 237, and we need a bruiser dont you think? how does he run with the ball? I've never seen any of the three play...his size excites me if he runs a 4.5 or so..does he? what about moreno or McCoy? I know That Beanie is the largest of the three.

Wells is a bruising back with homerun speed.. he'll run somewhere from 4.45-4.50 next week at the combine.. He's a beast of a back.. tremendous feet for a guy that big, good vision, and explosiveness out of his cuts..

Teams would be falling over themselves to get him if not for the fact he is constantly battling foot/ankle/hamstring injuries... nothing serious but he's always playing with nagging injuries

Moreno is a better receiver and blocker, and is a very good back.. he's smaller but doesnt have the speed of Well... he's still an excellent back and will be a good pro..

Shonn Greene should be right behind those three. I hope we get a chance to draft him in the second round.;)

The biggest issue with Wells is durability. I think the Lott strengthening program will work wonders for him.

does anyone think that well will be there at 31?
Not a chance. I think he is the second best back to come out in a while behind AD. The guy is gonna be a true beast IMO. Moreno will likely be gone too. I think we will be hoping for McCoy (though I'm not sold on him yet) but we may be looking at someone like Donald Brown. If we take Shonn Green in the first round I will puke on myself.

I agree he's not a Round 1 RB, but neither is Donald Brown. I'd put Shonn Greene above Donald Brown tho. I feel he'd be a better fit for the Cardinals.

Beanie will tear up the combine next week and work himself into the Top 15 or even better... Unless we trade Q and get a Top 20 pick we have no shot of getting him.

Actually, if we want him we should all hope he runs a 4.6 or something next week

Bottomline IMO, is that if we cant get Wells or Moreno, then don't even bother drafting a RB in the first round..

Personally, id like to see us do something in free agency so we dont end up wasting the 31st on Mccoy who isnt on the level of the other two guys, and who im totally not sold on..

if we dont take a rb which is our largest need in my eyes, what do we do at 1-2?

I would like the team to sign Dedrick Ward of the Giants, who I believe is a FA.

He is, and since the Giants have franchised Brandon Jacobs, Ward will probably hit the free market.

I'm not sure what I think though. Ward is a really good back, but he is also 28. On the other hand he has only played 4 seasons, so he doesn't have that big of a mileage.

I leaning toward thinking that Ward would be a good pickup, at least for a couple of years which would increase the chances of finding a more lasting solution for the future.

i think that the little i know about any of these rbs, barring injury hx rashodjennings would be a fine grab at #63 above some of the others.. we could really pound the rock with him in our backfield. we got iwebema late, and with whizz wrestl
ing even more power from graves in the draft this year presumably, i guess well see which way it goes in april.

Interesting 4th ranked guy there. I'm curious what you like about him other than his size? He looked awefully clumbsy to me at the senior bowl, overall very weak week for him :D

haha like that weak week ;)

Seriously any links to good footage on him? He hasn't shown me any blocking technique or vision, but I admit I didn't see him at Liberty. He just looked lost at the Senior bowl imho.

I think the coach has always had a say. They picked Levi Brown becuase Grimm was all over the kid. Graves and Kiem run the draft show IMO but they do it with a lot of input from the coaches. Its been that way since Wiz got here IMO. You brought up the name Iwebema, which was a kid that our DL coach coached in college, and he really pushed for the kid. Another example is Hightower, Carthon ran his workouts at his pro day and also really pushed for the kid to be drafted. I think it will stay more of the same, no power switches just the same collaboration as usual.
