I can see this, without even being homerish about it, we have NO at home this week which I think we can pull out. Then San Fran on the road, BYE, and Seattle at home which I chalked up as a loss. Then we go to Buffalo and Miami.....

I really don't think it's that far fetched. Other than Seattle I don't see a team clearly better than us, possibly NO but they are different on grass.

It's more likely to happen than you making it to a halftime gathering. :D

Man it is a long long walk for me from the upper deck! This week might be a good week to make it, won't have my wife with me.

We are 3-0 and have not scored a TD so I find it hard to believe we are going to go 4-4. We do not have the runners and McCown up to this point has not shown the ability to put the ball into the endzone. If we continue to start McCown I think we will be fortunate to win 2 games the entire year. If we start out experienced QB we could probably win 4 games total. We just do not have the horses or experience to be any factor. Our biggest problems are no running game and inexperiece at QB.

Winning three straight on the road is probably too much to expect for this team right now.

I want you to be right, though!

gotta agree with this sentiment - if we beat NO though - I do think we can be 3-5 going into the Giants game - and with Quan back and a relatively soft schedule the rest of the way - oh, who the hell am I kidding . . . although - realizstically -- if we are 3-5 going into the Ginats game - I can see us finishing with 7 or maybe 8 wins, but that means that our QB would have to get his head out of his ass and it remains to be seen if he can do that . . .

I do agree at this point it's a bit of a stretch and it all hinges on the performance this week, but I don't see everything as doom and gloom and it wouldn't take world beaters to push a 4-4 record at that point.

well - you asked if it was realistic in the thread title and then said above it was a bit of stretch - just answering the thread title - seeing us go 3-1 - with 3 games on the road in light of the fact that we've scored 1 td all year on the road doesn't bode well for the "realistic" shot of getting it done. If Josh could show that he could leade this team to even 17 points a game - I'd be confident against the likes of Miami and maybe even Buffalo - however - we haven't even scored above 12 so far . . . man I really hope he turns it around - I think I and everyone else (except This_Guy) knows that Shawn King is a band-aid and not a very strong one either . . .

To me Josh seemed to be getting it last week, unfortunately while he finally looked like he could make the correct reads he forgot he had a ball in his hands.

Johnson looked alot better and NO's defense is bad so I think we might even score 2...yes I said 2! TD's this week ;)

I think it's

very attainable. Red zone offense has to try to throw INTO the end zone more than once in 12 downs.
Hambrick has to be used with Smith, especially on plays Jones is in and 3rd and 1 situations.
2-3 is very probable after these 2 weeks. From there who knows.
Be carefull Andi-you might find something you like in church, and I will hold you to it.

i do respect the church property and am pissed when i see rotten lil hoodlums have graffited one!
It WOULD be a miracle to be 4-4!
I predict the Cardinals beating the SPREAD a majority of times this year - they're 2-1 agaisnt THAT already....

It all starts with a "must" win this week vs. Saints. Win this game and the season could turn around fast. Lose this game and the season is honestly over at 0-4. The Atlanta loss hurts but im finally over it. Im feeling great going into battle each week with this young and exciting defense. Hopefully R.Thompson gets back into lineup this week and they will be even better (and faster). McCown is out to win Coach Green over this week and i feel he will do it as Emmitt will have a nice game (80+ yards) and Fitzgerald gets his first TD. Also, McCown will take off running early and often in the game and play more of his type of game- which relaxes him down.

Go Cards/ America!

Bump.....2 games upcoming against two VERY beatable teams.

I hope the squad is not looking at it like that, or they will be lucky to split. Miami really whacked the Rams yesterday, neither game is a gimme for us. Winnable, yes. Time for this team to step it up and grab this town by the throat and make them take notice.

Was thinking the same thing this morning. We CAN get to 4-4. We CAN win at Buffalo and at Miami. But neither are certain wins - if the D can keep playing like it has been, and Josh can repeat his 1st half performances ALL game, then yes, we will be 4-4.

With a current 15 game losing streak on the road, no road game should be conidered a gimme. We could easily be 4-4 or 2-6 going into the Giant game.
