Reality:Cardinals lost a game they were supposed to lose. Now the "Real" fun begins!

Now granted we wished they played better in the game but no one gave them a chance to win vs. a healthy Seahawks team- in their backyard AND just 2 years removed from playing the Superbowl.

So now the real fun begins! Just 3 games left (at New Orleans, vs. Atlanta and vs St.Louis)

Let me breed some opTIMism today to this board:

- The Saints will be coming off a short week (playing MNF tonight) and probably have no RB Reggie Bush. I expect Kurt Warner to rebound nicely from yesterday as he always seems to play great after a bad preformance. Fitzgerald will continue to heal and hopefully "Q" is also back in the line-up. Urban is stepping up nicely and James needs more carries. Cardinals will win this game!

- The Vikings will be playing MNF next week at home vs. Bears. The Bears will still have mathematical playoff chances entering the game and will be also coming off a 10 day rest (played last game on 12/6/07). They will be as healthy as they have been all year (especially on DEF) and have a great shot at stopping the run and getting a few turnovers and beating the Vikings!

So as you can see the season is really only beginning. Here we are just 2 weeks from Xmas and the Cardinals are very much alive in the NFC playoff picture. We havent been able to say that in a very long time!

Hopefully Cardinals fans show up in New Orleans to represent well!

Go Cardinals!

The Saints game is the season. It is absolutely a must win. If they win that game I give them a chance to win out. If they lose then I could see this team falling apart. I still think they will be favored in both home games.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Let's say we win out. We're 9-7. Let's say the Vikings finish 9-7. Don't the Vikes now hold the tiebreaker over the Cards? So, we need to finish both 9-7, AND the Vikes have to finish 8-8. We are such a long shot it isn't funny. Am I wrong?

yea...but if we win out, and they lose to the bears, which i also think they will. they will be in a situation where they need to win their last 2, in which they play washington, and in denver. who knows, the vikings aren't a dominant team, they could come to play or lose every game left. they could win out or lose out. but the point is our players need to take care of business in these last 3 games. no more screwing around. if we lose to NO, we would need the vikings to lose out and we would have to win our last 2. i DONT want to be in that situation. I want to be able to say we did everything we had to do in the last 3 weeks, regardless of whether we get in our not.

Right. Losing at Seattle was expected. Losing at home to SF wasnt expected. Losing to SF makes all the difference in their season.

Yup those two losses to the 49ers will come back to kill us at the end :(, hopefully i'm wrong and the cardinals win out and the vikings lose a few but I just don't see it happening with all the injuries.

However we finish, the cardinals can't be any worse than 6-10. From a Cardinals fan standpoint, thats better than average for the Cards.

There is one other thing. The Vikings hold the tie breaker IF they are tied with just the Cardinals. If we were tied with them and a second team, the tie-breaker changes. Thats why last week we were given the nod over the Vikings because the Liona were tied with us thus making it a 3 way tie.

I expected the cards to be competitive in that game. that was a blow. obviously the losses to SF will haunt them if they miss the playoffs.

With Kyle Orton starting for the Bears next week, a win over the Vikes looks less likely.
