Kind of an interesting show, but it's on the CW and I know most people like totally SHUN that network :)

Anyways, his parents sold his soul to the devil and now he has to catch escaped demons and put them back into hell. Almost like ghostbusters or something.

It's kind of a comedy, and pretty cool.

See, I don't understand that. A good show is a good show, right? But there are others who are ticked off about The WB cancelling Angel and they decide not to watch The CW no matter what.

But this season is actually really good, with Reaper, Aliens in America, Everybody Hates Chris, Smallville and Supernatural being very good shows.

Reaper is great--a good companion to Supernatural, which is much more serious.

I wish I hadn't stopped watching Supernatural last year...it was just too much on Thursday nights.

Should I watch it now, or get the DVD's and just catch up that way?

And I agree...I just have friends who don't watch it...Veronica Mars was another show...it's not on a real network, so people don't get it.

Gossip Girl too, erm,....sadly, is a pretty good show.

The network is still #5, but the critics, who normally kill the CW, actually think their offerings have the best quality this season. Also keep in mind that the major networks have a lot of programming time per day. The CW only has 2 hours per day, 0 on Saturday and 3 on Sunday. That's not a lot of programming space.

It's interesting that you don't consider The CW a "real" network.

Supernatural is a continuation of last season, so it might be difficult to jump right in. But the premiere was action-packed and a fun watch.

I didn't mean I don't consider it a real network, I just think others do.

Good. I'd like to see a little more true tension in the show. They had a couple of great chances, but went with the easy resolve. Understandably, it's more of a light/good time show than heavy, so I can see why they did it.

Great cliffhanger ending. This show has really picked up a lot of steam over the last 5 episodes or so. Both this and Supernatural ended in spectacular fashion this season. Smallville... not so much.

I didn't call it the best for one thing, it is however one of the best few shows on TV along with Reaper, and Lost which I feel is the best show on currently.

Okay, I get that, but man, it was just so bad this year...so very bad. The finale made no sense...

I dunno...it's just not very good anymore. I can name 10 shows that are much better.

Smallville and Reaper two of the best shows on tv and on the CW.

Reaper... maybe, but Smallville? Maybe 4 years ago, but certainly not now. Do you watch Supernatural? To call Smallville better than Supernatural is CRAZY! :)

Not even four years ago :)

Chap, I really need to go back and see this first season of Supernatural...or at least, see the second season.

Can you give me any info on when they'll replay it?

The CW is in serious trouble. Just read that if they don't get a serious infusion of cash they will sink. They are saying that all the CW shows might have to find another network before the new season starts or the shows might not finish the season.

Plus, it's a shame because Supernatural was told this season (which was the best IMO) that they need to increase the scale of the stories. So they did. Well because of the problems the CW is having, they have asked the makers of the show to scale things back and Supernatural took a major budget cut for next season. I hope the show doesn't suffer.

Not sure a show like Reaper would survive a move to another network. I love this how though and now my curiosity is peaked at what the secret is that Sam doesn't know about. What does the ending mean? Why didn't his mom just reveal what she knew and have Sam help?

The only thing that bugged me about the ending was the entire fireworks celebration thing. Obviously, Sam felt a little betrayed by his dad. However, his reaction to what happened to his dad was sort of lame. It felt like they tried to wrap it up with what little time they had left for the episode. He didn't sell me that he was too upset about it.

Don't believe everything you read.

The article I read about Super Natural and budget cuts came from direct quotes from the show runners. Since there has been more then one article about the CW's struggles, I think that what the show runners on SN have said lineup up with what is going on with the CW. So I guess we shall see what happens.

I think with stuff like New Line being bought and the possible demise of the CW, it's going to be slim pickens for genere type shows if that happens.
