"Fredo, you're nothing to me now. You're not a brother, you're not a friend. I don't want to know you or what you do. I don't want to see you at the hotels, I don't want you near my house. When you see our mother, I want to know a day in advance, so I won't be there. You understand?"

Mike come on - if you're going to use "I'll be back" at least credit the orginal source - Terminator - or the best usage of the line Commando!

Who are you, the quote police? :)

Actually, maybe it's just me, but if you asked anyone to say which movie "I'll be back" came from, I would think most would say T2...but maybe I'm wrong.

Yes you would be wrong. They put it in T2 because of it popularity from The Terminator.

I am not the quote police despite evidence to the contrary. :D

Without a doubt, that is one of the greatest KILL lines in a movie ever. Commando is chock full of them.

Okay - I don't know if it's ROBOCOP day or not, but just in the last 30 minutes a buddy of mine came into my office - quote the "Dollar" line, there is this discussion of it here and on the Cards board, Karng uses the quote also.

"I suppose that uniform makes you some sort of an authority figure? These are the limits of your life man, ruler of your little ****ing gate, here, here is your $4 you pathetic piece of ****." - Steve Buscemi in Fargo

"When I said get out of my house, I meant get the **** out. That goes for ****suckers, and retards." - Dwight Yoakam in Slingblade

On another note, wasn't "I'll be back" first in The Running Man? Because I remember Richard Dawson replying with "only in a rerun pal!"

Better Off Dead
Johnny: I want my two dollars!

Fast Times at Ridgemont High

Jeff Spicoli: All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine

Mr. Hand: Am I hallucinating here? Just what in the hell do you think you're doing?
Jeff Spicoli: Learning about Cuba, and having some food.

Jefferson's Brother: My brother's gonna kill us! He's gonna kill us! He's gonna kill you and he's gonna kill me, he's gonna kill us!

Spicoli: Hey man, just be glad I had fast reflexes!

Jefferson's Brother: My brother's gonna $hit!

Spicoli: Make up your mind, dude, is he gonna $hit or is he gonna kill us?

Jefferson's Brother: First he's gonna $hit, then he's gonna kill us!

Spicoli: Relax, alright? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.

Jeff Spicoli: No shirt, no shoes, no dice.
Brad Hamilton: Right. Learn it, know it, live it.

Jeff Spicoli: That was my skull!! I'm so wasted!

Businessman: It says one hundred percent guaranteed, you moron!
Brad Hamilton: Mister, if you don't shut up I'm gonna kick one hundred percent of your ass!

Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Cameron: [singing] When Cameron was in Egypt's land..."let my Cameron go!"

Ferris: I asked for a car, I got a computer. How's that for being born under a bad sign?

Yeah - "I'll be back" was a staple of Schwarzenegger's during the eighties and early ninties.

"Sir can describe Nathan Jr.'s jammies?"
"I don't know. They had yodas and sh*t on 'em!"

"Awful good cereal flakes Ms McDonough."

"Have you ever met someone you didn't kill?"...."I haven't killed you yet" - Lethal Weapon.

"they f**k you at the drive thru!" - Lethal Weapon 2

"I'll be taking these Huggies and whatever you got in the register" - Raising Arizona

I think the line from Running Man was "you'll be seeing me again" or something like that. Running Man was made after The Terminator anyway.

The Running Man (1987)
Ben Richards (Schwarzenegger): I'll Be Back
Damon Killian (Dawson): Only in a re-run

As for the Terminator....the movie debuted in 1984
Actually, in James Cameron's 4th draft (1983), the Terminator says "I'll come back":

http://www.doublemirrors.com/terminator/Tscript

As he exits the station, he passes Terminator just coming in
the front door. He glances at the pale apparition in cap
and dark wrap-arounds, but goes on.

Terminator approaches the Desk Sergeant who barely glances
up when he speaks.

TERMINATOR

I'm a friend of Sarah Connor.

I was told she is here. Can

I see her, please?

SERGEANT

You can't see here. She's

making a statement.

TERMINATOR

Where is she?

SERGEANT

(laconically)

Look. It's gonna be a while.

You wanna wait. There's a

bench.

Terminator steps back, scanning the booth, the electric

door, the rooms beyond.

TERMINATOR

I'll come back.

But I guess this is what ultimately ended up in the movie:

Terminator: "I'm a friend of Sarah Connor. I was told she was here. Can I see her please?"
Desk Sargeant: "I can't let you. She's in there making a statement."
Terminator: "Where is she?"
Desk Sargeant: "Look, this may take a while. If you want to wait, there's a bench over there."
Terminator: "I'll be back."

"I ain't got time to bleed." - Predator

"Garp bit Bonky!: - The World According to Garp

"Crooked cops. Do they come in any other way? If I'd been just a little dumber, I could have joined the force myself." - Payback

My all-time favorite quote movie, though: Die Hard. Too many to post. :D

Another good one: Unforgiven (with Eastwood, Freeman, Hackman, and Harris). Chock full of good quotes!

For what it's worth: Whenever I hear the quote "I'll be back." I think of the original Terminator, not the sequel or another Arnold flick. Nothing beats the original quote.
