When it comes to the 68-team field for the NNCAA Tournament, St. Francis has officially entered the chat.
St. Francis went on an improbable run to win the Northeast Conference championship, which booked the Red Flash's second trip to the NCAA Tournament overall, and its first since 1991.

St. Francis will face the Alabama State Hornets in the NCAA's "First Four" matchup on Tuesday.
The St. Francis - Alabama State game kicks off at 6:40 p.m. and will broadcast on TruTV.
The Red Flash men's basketball program posted a video to its page on the X social media platform of the moment when the NCAA announced that St. Francis made the cut:
St. Francis is the 16th seed, and as such, history isn't on the Red Flash's side, as the top seed hold a 154-2 over the 16th seed.
Most recently, the 16th-seeded FDU beat top-seeded Purdue in 2023.
ESPN gives the Red Flash a puncher's chance, however.
"Every year the field is stacked with storylines worthy of a Disney movie, but head coach Rob Krimmel and his Red Flash are the most interesting, of the teams in the NCAA Tournament," read ESPN's profile "Krimmel was a guard for St. Francis (1996-2000), then he became an assistant coach at his alma mater for the next 12 years. Then he was hired as head coach in 2012.
"This season, after nearly three decades with this program, he has achieved his dream. Riley Parker (13.6 PPG, 40% from 3) leads a group that upset the favorite to win the NEC tournament championship."
St. Francis is located in Loretto, roughly 90 miles east of Pittsburgh.
The Red Flash men's basketball team made light of its location with a "Represent Nowheresville, PA," marketing campaign:
St. Francis has held watch parties for the Red Flash's run, and if a watch party happens tomorrow, it will most likely be announced on St. Francis' website.
