Okay, so the thread title belies the fact that this article is about soccer, not American football. But i've seen studies with similar results for various sports - this was just the most relevant recent article i could find in a few minutes.

I like that as the home team, the Cardinals chose to wear their red jerseys, leaving the Steelers in the disadvantageous white and yellow!

(On the other hand, it makes one wonder how the Cardinals could have been so consistently bad for so long! How much worse would it have been if they'd been wearing Buccaneer colors?!) :)

(Still hoping someone from ASFN is heading to the game with an extra ticket to sell at a reasonable price!)

I remember similar studies showing this (red in football uniform equated with winning often) to be statistically true in college football.

Didn't bother to research it myself, since Wikipedia is golden. :)

Read the last paragraph of Super Bowl pre-game notes. It says that the Steelers are 2-0 lifetime in the Super Bowl with the white jerseys, plus the teams with the white jerseys are on a 4-game win streak in this game.

As none of the losing teams wore RED, we'll get a chance to see how this works out. Everything is set up for us to end this streak.
