Okay, so the thread title belies the fact that this article is about soccer, not American football. But i've seen studies with similar results for various sports - this was just the most relevant recent article i could find in a few minutes.

I like that as the home team, the Cardinals chose to wear their red jerseys, leaving the Steelers in the disadvantageous white and yellow!
(On the other hand, it makes one wonder how the Cardinals could have been so consistently bad for so long! How much worse would it have been if they'd been wearing Buccaneer colors?!)
