Just got notified of a new Red Sea Referral program from the Arizona Cardinals.

If a current season ticket member recommends someone for season tickets and they become a season ticket member each will receive a $50 concession card for the 2019 season.

--------------------------------

Are they having trouble selling season tickets?

After last season, I'd say that is a certainty.

LOL. That's pretty thirsty. I imagine that this is going to be a very slow offseason for ticket sales.

I listened to the after game show on the radio after almost every game, and several callers each show identified themselves as long time season ticket holders, and saying they were not renewing next year. You never know if it's someone venting, but it was almost like a regular segment of that show last year.

I get the frustrations, especially when some of these season ticket holders have only lived through the new stadium era with air conditioning and the Warner and Palmer eras. I remember back in 1997 when we were 4-12 under Tobin, some guy in the South End Zone stood up and ripped his ticket during the last home game, saying he has been a season ticket holder since 1988 and would not renew his tickets. I think a lot of people just vent at the end of a bad year. My brother and I couldn't understand why the 1997 would be the straw to break the camel's back given all we had to suffer through from 1988 through 1997.

Of course, back then, most home games were blacked out so you couldn't watch the game if you weren't in the stadium. I hope that long time season ticket holder didn't miss out on the 1998 season, which was a lone bright spot for basically 20 years.

I am concerned with stadium attendance in the future now that games are not blacked out on TV and nice, HDTVs are so much cheaper. We better right this ship quickly.

I am the opposite. If I watch them on TV and they are winning and exciting, I think, hey why not see if I can go to one of these games? Then my kids and wife are like, let's look and see.
