8 tackles, the forced fumble, and, he broke up the last two point conversion that would have made it a one score game.

Okay, Reddick wasn't Lawrence Taylor out there today, maybe he wasn't even good. But he wasn't bad either.

He's better than freaking hodges and Holmes.

Jones broke up the 2 point conversion attempt

Reddick was boom or bust. For every good play there are multiple examples where he was out of position vs the run or looking oost on the field. It was better than it has been, but that doesn't make it average.

Not quite. Good coverage, great pass, bad drop possibly caused by the good coverage

Different plays. The TE Wick dropped a TD in the end zone and then Reddick came in late hit him and acted like he'd broken it up. Then later in the game he was almost guilty of PI on the 2 pt conversion, perfect throw but a different player dropped that one. He was in good coverage but he never turned to look, very close to PI.

It is fair to say that he was part of defensive performance that gave up a lot of first downs, yardage, and TOP.

I think Reddick was targeted 67 times today.

Yep if you're an outfielder with a weak arm, everyone runs on you so you wind up with a few assists. If you're a LB who gets run at and targeted in the passing game over and over, you might wind up with 8 tackles, doesn't mean you played well.

The strip for the TD was a great play but so far he's like the guy who can only dunk and make 3 pointers and does nothing else.

I think the best thing to do is start Reddick the rest of the year and see how he improves.

And then after the season we can utilize the “walk on from Temple who overcame injury in high school because of his passion for football” talk to hype him up and fool another incompetent GM

I never understood the Reddick pick. He played against crappy teams in college and his best year was 9.5 sacks. Terrible pick. SK needs to stop trying to outthink everyone and start taking actual talented, right-sized football players.

That's a bad comparison Russ lol. At least 3's and dunks would contribute to the overall team. Reddick was such a liability out there today save for one play.

His agent started a massive hype campaign for him. “Athletic and versatile player who was going to be a top high school prospect. He had an injury in high school and fell off the recruiting charts. But he had such a passion for football that he rehabbed and walked on at Temple. Then he became a team captain. A true once in a decade talent who could play any position on the field.” Can’t believe management fell for it. Completely ridiculous

I can see the press release now:

Cardinals trade for Hassan Reddick. General Manager, Steve Keim, is very excited about the trade saying Reddick has an incredible passion for football that will translate to the field. He expects Reddick to play CB even though Reddick has never played the position before.

NFL offices are confused by this trade since the Cardinals already have Reddick on the roster.

You’re right if you want to be a slightly above average team. Me? I’d like to shoot higher. And that means you need an elite GM, an elite coach, and elite players. Hmm, hiring a coach and acquiring players are two GM roles. So yeah, set your sights slightly above average - that’s old loser cardinal mentality. The better teams in the league would never accept slightly above average and neither would their fans. Sorry, just my opinion.

Our GM is top 5 in wins from 2013-2017 so I don't think that's a loser mentality. He also got us Palmer for peanuts & Josh Rosen for next to nothing. He also traded away an injured 1st rounder for Chandler Jones. He's done a pretty damn good job since he's been here. This year was never going to be much as they are waiting until next year when they have tons of cap space. They were hoping to be competitive but so far the coaching staff has looked like crap. Could be because it's a new system that don't fit the players but who knows.

So why did you keep predicting we were gonna finish with a winning record?

Because the previous HC also turned everything upside down, had an offense that looked like a sputtering train, to start the season....but finally got rolling and ended with 10 wins.

The previous HC also had 3 wins by this time & the offense looked no where near inept as this one does.
