No. 1 Tennessee (19-0, 2-0 SEC) remains undefeated to start the 2025 baseball season. The Vols won a run-rule decision, 10-0 in seven innings, against No. 7 Florida (16-4, 0-2 SEC) Saturday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Reese Chapman hit a walk-off three-run home run for Tennessee. The Vols scored nine runs in seventh inning to win the series.

Marcus Phillips (2-0) started and pitched a complete game for Tennessee. He recorded seven strikeouts, while allowing five hits, zero runs and one walk. The 6-foot-4, 246-pound junior totaled 110 pitches, including 76 strikes, against 24 batters.

Three Vols recorded two-plus hits in the contest: Hunter Ensley, Manny Marin and Chapman.

The series finale between Tennessee and the Gators is slated for Sunday at 1 p.m. EDT (SEC Network+). Tennessee will play for a series sweep and to extend its win streak to 22 games, dating to 2024. The Vols won game No. 1 against Florida, 5-3, on Friday.
