Frank Kaminsky is my Hero.
Next year has the potential to be Tommy's best team.
2024-2025 Roster
Caleb Love - out of eligibility. Salute, young man
Trey Townsend - out of eligibility. Good luck with selling auto insurance
Henri Veesaar (PORTAL 3/30) - likely returning. Has potential to develop into an NBA draft pick. Plus, he has a GF who coaches on the softball team (daughter of the D-Backs former third base coach Tony Perezchica).
Jaden Bradley - All signs point to him returning, but could test the draft waters again
Anthony Dell'Orso - I dont think he's coming back. There's no starting position for him and he is only a spot up shooter. Depending on how the roster materializes, I think he'd be fine as a back of the rotation shooter.
Tobe Awaka - I think he transfers as he will be phased out of the starting line up by Veesaar, Peat and/or Krivas. He's a 6'8" center/forward who cant stretch the floor and plays under the basket. Awaka got exposed against Hunter Dickenson and the Duke center.
Montiejus Krivas - I think he stays as Tommy loves him and has called him the best player on the team, but this is something to keep an eye on. He played hurt to start he year and the foot was just never 100%, which is why they elected to get him season-ending surgery.
KJ Lewis (PORTAL 3/29) - Here's where the roster construction starts to get interesting. KJ is a great defender and penetrator, but his outside shot and ball handling are terrible. He's never going to get a better role on this team than he has now, which is a solid perimeter defender. There are some minor off the court issues with him that make me question his character and commitment to the team. He could declare or transfer
Carter Bryant - He's either staying or declaring. I think he'd be a late first round pick today, but could play himself into the lottery with development. He is talented, but fundamentally flawed. He has some of the dumbest fouls I've ever seen and gets easily lost on defense. I think he declares because that's just the landscape of freshman with Carter's potential, but if I were in his circle, I'd advocate for one more year under Tommy as he could be one of the go-to offensive weapons
Conrad Martinez - In case you care, I think he leaves for a mid-major program, similar to Adama Bal. Coaches actually thought he would take the next step but he didnt and was barley playable
Commitments
Koa Peat - likely your starting 4
Dwayne Aristode - rotational wing
Bryce James - Developmental wing
Recruits
Brayden Burries - again, I dont like to speculate on recruits because a player can change his mind in the time it takes to have a check written out to him, but if he had to commit today, all signs point to Arizona. People have said that he is a bag chaser, so this could go any direction. USC is making a late push, which is weird because they have a loaded back court
Andre Iguodala Jr. - I'm getting old
Transfers
