Just wondering if anyone out there listens to reggae, if so what or who are you listening to? What are your likes and dislikes pertaining to style, roots, dub, dancehall etc. If so what do you do as far as concerts and going out to see them since theres not much choice out here in az, thanks.

I'm by no means a reggae sophisticate listener but i do own Bob Marley's Greatest hits CD and it's great("Soul Rebel" is my fave). I'd love to goto a chill reggae concert. Its definately not the thing around here though.....
My exgirlfriend bought me a mixed reggae CD and its horrible. I prefer the slow groove sound. Any suggestions on any good listens?

i guess it worked. mojo may i suggest midnite to listen to. from st croix and bass line driven so laid back. check out unpolished and seek knowledge before vengence. midnite actually came to flagstaff 3-4 years ago to the mogollon brew, what a show. others to try are bambuu station volumes 1 and 2, kind of like a compilation but probably better than the cd your ex-girl gave to you. im kinda old so have been listening since the early 80s and if you dont dig those im sure i can come up with something you will like. let me know.

I've seen Joe Higgs, Burning Spear, Pato Banton, Rita Marley, Ziggy Marley, Steel Pulse, Marcia Griffiths, Israel Vibration, Dennis Brown, probably more I'm missing, been to Reggae on the River a couple of times. Toots is one of my favorites. Also like Prince Buster, Desmond Dekker, The Heptones, and all the old, old school stuff.
