It's been seven years. Doesn't seem possible. Rest in peace, Pat and thank you.

Perfectly put, Dems.

As Mother Theresa said, "A life not in service to others is not a life."

What a life, Pat! You made the ultimate sacrifice. You fought for freedom. You honored not only America, but all of humanity. Bless you forever.

I remember the exact time too - driving in the car. When the news first broke, the announcer didn't use Pat's name; referred to him as a former NFL player. Sadly, you knew it was him. RIP.

Pat Tilman, a true American Hero. He packed more life into a few short years than just about everyone. More than just seeking life, he really experienced it. May he rest in peace in a far, far better place.

I still remember the exact moment I heard the news on the radio.

RIP

Me, too. My brother told me he had some bad news. I thought it was draft related. Never, ever could have imagined that he was going to tell me that Pat Tillman was killed.

Rest in Peace, Pat. Thank you and all our soldiers for your service to our country. I'll tip a Guinness back in your honor this evening as I do every April 22.

If you ever get to Ireland then you have to drink a Guinness. It is different then here in the states, very very delicious. I heard it was because they don't pasturize it over seas and they have to in the states because of the FDA.

rip, Pat. I remember all the rookies at the draft that year wearing the little Cardinals pins in his honor.

Jim Rome broke the news to me, I was work when the construction field was booming. Our whole crew stopped for a good 30-45 minutes to talk about our memories of Pat. Seven years later it still doesnt seem real.

I find out next week if I will have the honor of naming my first born Tillman.

I just started a new job at the VA, I respect pats patriotism before during and after, exactly what he said, not 1 brick short or one brick to many, like some verbalize.

He carry's the soldiers burden, so our families do not have too. a fraction of one percent of our 310 million Americans, protect our freedoms against enemies foreign and domestic.

Duty, honor, country these values are not lost or forgotten, I seen them after 911, United we stood divided we fail. I still see them at the VA everyday.

Don't give money, share time, It's all about the team. Most vets won't ask for it, They shouldn't have too. Every red face or Cardinal game, is a celebration of a veteran's efforts.

I'm the lucky one, I'm only partially disabled, I remember the fallen, that were close to me, and I get that much more fanatic, because I can, I'm allowed!

Don't let the beauty of this day go by unnoticed.

I was in AF basic training when I heard about Pat's death. At that point we were in both afghanistan and Iraq. In basic we never heard news about sports, or our personal lives other than the letters we received from family, but daily we were informed about the actions of our heroes who were giving their lives for our country. Soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen were dying every day in large numbers. I must say that it was a very sad and scary time, but I learned so much about what it means to be proud of those that paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Pat could have done anything that he wanted to with what he had. But he wanted to do right for his country and I will never forget that. I hope that one day he is in canton, because in my mind he is the greatest NFL player and person that I've ever had the privelage of watching.
