Browns are reported to be throwing a ton of cash at Tony Jefferson.

The more money he gets the better for the Cardinals chances at high Compensation picks next year.

Newsday reports the Jets aren't expected to land free agent S Tony Jefferson.
The Jets were the early favorites for Jefferson but have since fallen behind the Browns and Ravens. They aren't expected to come close to what Cleveland is offering. Jefferson is expected to get more than $7 million annually. Mar 8 - 6:15 PM
NFL Network's Mike Garofolo reports the Browns are aggressively pursuing free agent S Tony Jefferson, and offering him the most money.
Per Garofolo, the Ravens are also after the soon-to-be former Cardinal, but aren't competing with the Browns financially. Jefferson is easily the market's top safety. He'll have to decide between money and a chance to win in 2017. We don't have to tell you what usually wins out. Mar 8 - 5:14 PM

Gotta think like the Patriots. Would they pay a fortune for average to above average aged talent, or let them go and restock with up and comers on their rookie deals?

just don't think we can afford to think like the Pats because we don't have the best QB/Coach of All Time. Those two factors cover up A LOT of warts.

Let's just hope our first round pick from last year actually plays like a first round pick this year. If he can, it will minimize CC's loss at least a little.

The Cardinals are about to make Chandler Jones very rich. That's pretty much the opposite of what the Patriots would do.
