Others have thrown out the idea of a "Mike Ditka'' deal in which the Eagles would send all of their 2015 picks to a team for the chance to land Mariota,

I'm not sure I buy it.

Having said that, would Whiz trade for another Eagle QB who's coming off an injury?

The problem is that Mariota will not be ready year one and there is talk up here he could slip some because of his footwork. He is also skipping the combine and only doing a Pro Day at Oregon. So, if they want him, they may not have to move up all that much.

He won't skip the combine, but he may not throw at the combine. He'll do the measurable and team interviews, for sure.

I do not think the Eagles have anything to offer to move up if the guy is a top five pick (though, I do not think any of these QBs are first round in my opinion) unless they do something stupid and offer way too much which I think the other teams would gladly accept lol

Foles is still very attractive to teams probably. He wasn't that bad before his injury, and 2013 was simply magnificent.

He's on a rookie deal, and has experience.

If I was a team who needed a QB, I'd rather have Foles then anyone coming out.

Foles + picks... yes please. (and I'm ASU not UofA alum)

He's not a Kevin Kolb situation in any way, though we were morons for extending an injury prone QB before he even played a snap for us.

Not sure I can think of 5 college players better than him. I think Leonard Williams and Amari Cooper as a probable bet, but after that you have Winston, Gregory, and Shane Ray. I don't think he falls lower than the 3-5 range and still think he is a likely top-3 pick.

I agree he would not be able to step into a conventional pocket passer role year one, but I wouldn't Chip Kelly building an offense especially for his talents.

Looking at the draft order, here's my take:

1: Tampa needs a QB and the scuttlebutt is they're going to take Winston.
2-5: The only team that might be in the market for a QB would be Washington but they have a lot invested in RGIII to give up on him just yet.
6: Jets could be in the market for one.
7: Bears, maybe, maybe not. QBOTF could be but not in the first round. They're basically in the same boat as we are.
8-9: No.
10: Rams, maybe.

So, the Eagles might only have to get up to 10 so a trade might be logical especially if Mariota keeps falling.

I've read that the Eagles like Brett Hundley, but that was before reports started circulating that the Titans were going to roll with Zach Mettenberger.
