The New York Giants will have representatives at the Ole Miss pro day on Friday, but it won't be the first time Big Blue has been around quarterback Jaxson Dart.

The Giants have met with Dart several times this offseason, most notably at the Senior Bowl and the NFL Combine. In addition, another Ole Miss quarterback, Eli Manning, has been around Dart quite often and has even hosted him at the Manning Passing Academy in recent years.

"Jaxson Dart, as he gets ready for his Pro Day, has, in fact, spent extensive time with the Browns (and) with the Giants," NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said.

The Giants won't use the No. 3 overall pick selection in the 2025 NFL draft on Dart but could possibly take him in Round 2 at No. 34, or even trade up for him if they believe Cleveland (who selects 33rd) might beat them to the punch.

What would that move look like? Darryl Slater of NJ Advance Media outlined it recently.

Schoen wouldn’t have to move up far. He owns the second pick in Round 2 (34th overall). After the Steelers pick at No. 21, there is just one team — the Rams at No. 26 — that might take a quarterback in the first round.

These are the other teams slotted from 22nd to 32nd: Chargers, Packers, Vikings, Texans, Ravens, Lions, Commanders, Bills, Chiefs and Eagles. The Giants could pull off a trade-up move with any of them, except probably Washington and Philadelphia, given the stakes.

If the Giants moved from 34th to 27th (in a deal with Baltimore), that would be a 120-point difference, based on the draft trade value chart. The Giants own the 99th pick (at the end of Round 3) — a compensatory selection for losing Xavier McKinney in free agency last offseason.

This, of course, all depends on how well Dart performs at this pro day on Friday. If he kills it, like Miami's Cam Ward did earlier this week, Dart could actually become a dart and shoot up the draft order. In that case, the Giants might actually consider trading back in the first round.
