Does anyone have a copy, or know where I can find on the intarwebs a video of the Arizona Wildcats running the fumblerooski?

I found a video of the 84 Nebraska team running it in the Orange Bowl. But I remember an Arizona team running it.

Did they use that to beat Stephen F. Austin? They needed all the tricks they could muster.

I was talking to someone today who had never heard of the fumblerooski. I showed him the orange bowl clip but it isn't the really well played one I remember, when the whole line went left and the center just sat on the ball for a good 2 or 3 seconds before getting up and running right.

Ah, that's right, I forgot that you scored with about a minute left.
As opposed to the three minutes left at which ASU tacked on their last meaningless TD. Nice try, but both W's were equally embarassing.

Not even close....we stopped passing and ran the ball. Also, the quality of opponent isn't even close. SFA might be the worst team in the NCAA, NAU is a very good team.

Yeah, I'm dissapointed we only won by 21, but it was no where near as embarassing as the UofA game.

Why does every thread about the UofA, even something that has nothing to do with the current squad, end up having ASU fans chime in with anti UA stuff?

We ran the ball more than you did and had a whopping single more pasing attempt so that defeats that argument. And if NAU is a good team, I guess Utah is the next coming of the Steel Curtain considering the Utes just beat them 45-7 last week. Again - I fail to see how a 3-8 Big Sky team picked to finish seventh in their conference is a "good team" but as always, feel free to chime in with whatever logic makes you come up with that so I can shoot it down.

So we win by 18 not starting our entire backfield (two walk-ons started at RB and QB, and the QB isn't cut out for JUCO ball let alone any four year collegiate level) yet it's more embarassing than winning by 21 with your entire team intact.

I love how you try to justify it by talking about players that didn't play...those players aren't much good anyhow, and you know it.

Yeah, no ASU fan is happy with the team's performance against NAU, but they sure looked miles better than UofA against a much worse opponent.

NAU is a good team this year. SFA, worst team in college.

I certainly wasn't justfying anything, I just fail to see how a team who won by a comparable margin to another looked decidely worse than said team when after taking all factors into consideration they both looked pretty pathetic. Both looked horrible for three quarters and put away inferior competition in the fourth. Statstically both games were similarly one-sided, yet it was not reflected in each's respective final scores which was essentially the same.

Any statistics or any measurable to come to this conclusion? Or is it all opinion (severely biased one at that)? Because SFA did have a better record than NAU last year and was ranked higher in D-1AA preseason rankings.

NAU is a good team this year. SFA, worst team in college.
Again - please explain how NAU is good, or will this just be another one of your opinions based on conjecture rather than fact? Was it NAU's beatdown at the hands of a mediocre MWC squad or was it because they shellacked a team that just got promoted from JUCO level a few months ago? Or was it because they kept it close only in score against ASU, a feat even a horrid CU team accomplished?

You are putting a lot of stock into last year, I am going on record and saying that NAU is a good D-1aa team, I don't care who they beat last week.

I honestly believe that that "horrid" CU team would beat UofA if the game were played at CU. I think you know that too........

We'll see, NAU has been awful the last couple years and Jason Murrietta might be the most overrated local product (and there are many) since John Rattay. His reputation is only what it is because he had 6'5 future NFL Clarence Moore playing against Big Sky midgets in 2003 and had a good game against a weak ASU squad four years ago. Since Moore went to the NFL, Murietta has been below average at best and a couple lucky throws against ASU certainly won't make me change my mind.

I'm not too sure about that, Montana State went into Boulder and handled them pretty good and a mid-level Pac-10 team in ASU who couldn't go with their bread and butter due to the wind beat them up in a way the score didn't reflect. I think the Cats would win because CU can't score due to the fact that they're playing an up-tempo spread offense with players suited for Barnett's grinding style, but I'm guessing the +/- would be somewhere around 15 and the final score would be 9-6. Arizona's offense is just flat out terrible, which is why you'll see the offensive coordinator get canned sometime in December.

How did this thread turn into who's football program is better by how much they beat their last inferior opponent by. Everyone needs to relax. It's still too early.

I agree, really AU is only 1 win and 6 more moral victories away from having another good season.
