Whether you're hitting the greens for a serious round or simply soaking in the atmosphere, there's no shortage of opportunities to get out and play. So it's time to master your swing, get out your clubs and book a tee time.

In the Brockton area, there are multiple courses to check out. There are courses for golf pros, beginners, or those looking for fun quick rounds.

D.W. Field Golf Course in Brockton


This golf course is surrounded by all the amenities The D.W. Field Park in Brockton has to offer. When you play here you can hear birds, the flow of rivers, and see clean-cut grass perfect for a golf outing. This course is located at 331 Oak St. and has 18 holes with multiple teeing options to elevate your experience. D.W. Field Golf Course is open Monday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Price Range: $45 on weekdays and $55 on the weekends

Golfers believe this course is great for beginners. One reviewer tilted their review, best value in eastern MA, the reviewer gave the course 5 stars and said, "Went on a friend's recommendation and was pleasantly surprised. The course was great, the staff was welcoming and finished in under 4 hours. "

Pine Oaks Golf Course in South Easton


This nine-hole course is surrounded by crisp green scenery, tall trees and only one little pond. This course, which can be played at any level, is located at 68 Prospect St. in South Easton and is open from Monday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Price Range: Weekdays $20 to $34 and weekends $13 to $40, carts prices range from $3 to $38

Review: According to yelp.com, this course has 3.4 stars out of 5 stars. One reviewer gave this course 5 stars and said, "Great place. Relaxing and fun, the perfect combination. Always great every time. Reasonable and great service."

West Bridgewater Golf Club in West Bridgewater


Play alongside the Town River with picturesque scenery to make your tee time more than a game of golf, but a relaxing experience you may want to come back to. This nine-hole golf course will remind you of the "Carolinas" according to the website. Located at 250 East Center St. in West Bridgewater the course offers green fairways and multiple teeing options. This course is open Monday through Sunday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Price Range: $20 to $50

Review: According to golfpass.com this course has 4.4 stars out of 5 stars. One reviewer just played there this month and said, "Course was in great condition for the time of the year, some wet spots still out but that's only to be expected in mid-March."

Ridder Farm Golf Course in East Bridgewater


Take it slow at this golf course, feel the grass and smell the flowers. This course offers walking rounds and golf carts, as well as military discounts. Prices for carts and discounts are not listed on the website. This 18-hole golf course is located at 390 Oak St. in East Bridgewater and is open year-round. The course is open Monday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Price Range: Tee times available right now are $35

Review: According to golfpass.com this course has 4.2 stars out of 5 stars. One reviewer liked how cheap it was compared to other golf courses they've been to and gave the course five stars. They said, "This course, while not the most challenging, is always in excellent condition. Any other courses this well maintained in the area is at least 70, 80 dollars. Back nine is a little more difficult."

Cedar Hill Golf Course in Stoughton

If you played here in 2024 and come back this year you'll notice some updates. According to the course's website, they added irrigation to the first fairway, new tee boxes and a completely new ninth fairway. This course is surrounded by the woods without too many obstacles getting in the way, so you have a better chance of getting a hole-in-one. The course is located at 1137 Park St. in Stoughton and is open Monday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Price Range: $20 to $35, golf cart prices are $5 to $15 per rider

Review: According to golfpass.com this course has 4.5 stars out of 5 stars. One reviewer gave the course 5 stars and said, "Every time I play here I like it more and more. For me, an average golfer, I don't feel intimidated here. Gives me a great opportunity to work on my irons and overall short game!"

Strawberry Valley Golf Course in Abington


This big golf course offers lots of space with secluded areas just for you or your group. The course is surrounded by trees without bodies of water ruining your rounds. This nine-hole golf course is great for people with time on their hands, as the course is known to take a little longer than most. This course is located at 164 Washington St. in Abington and is open Monday through Sunday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Review: According to golfpass.com, one reviewer gave this course 5 out of 5 stars and said, "One of the best 9-hole courses on the South Shore. Was surprised by how much I enjoyed playing this course. The course was longer and more challenging than I expected."

Heritage Golf Course in Lakeville


This golf course has all sorts of scenery to play with including a circle of trees throughout the course and ponds to raise the stakes of each round. This course is 18 holes and 3,000 acres. It usually takes golfers three hours to finish according to the course's website. The course is open Monday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Price Range: $20 to $30, golf cart prices are $6 to $10

Review: According to Google reviews this course has 4.2 stars out of 5 stars. The most recent review gave the course 5 stars and said, "Pleasantly surprised on how great this is. The long par 3 course is in great condition. A few over 200 yards and a bunch between 160 to 180 yards. The bar was beautiful and the food was great, along with the barkeep and the owner was fantastic. I will definitely be coming back."

Crosswinds Golf Club in Plymouth


This 27-hole golf course allows any golfer to turn a three-hour outing into a full-day experience. The course has lots of qualities to make it something for everyone to enjoy. You will experience some rounds in wide green fairways and others close to calm water and nature. This course is located at 424 Long Pond Road in Plymouth and is open Monday through Sunday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Price Range: $47 to $95

Review: According to golfnow.com, a website related to golfpass.com, gave this course 4.5 out of 5 stars. The reviewer said, "The course is in great shape considering it's March. Greens are slow and a little bumpy as is expected... Another month or so and the course will be green and lush."
