We have another mock draft to consider for the Arizona Cardinals. This one is a full seven-round mock draft from ESPN's Matt Miller. Quarterbacks go with two of the first three selections of the draft with Cam Ward landing with the Tennessee Titans and Shedeur Sanders with the New York Giants.
But what about the Arizona Cardinals?
These are the picks.
The Mike Green pick makes a lot of sense at a glance. He was the most productive pass rusher in the nation and has elite athletic traits. He looked good at the Senior Bowl and played well against bigger programs. But there are questions to be answered about his departure from Virginia. And drafting Green would stray from Cardinals GM Monti Ossenfort's pattern in early rounds. The Cardinals' five picks in the first two rounds of the draft the last two years have come from the Big Ten or SEC.
But taking a pass rusher in Round 1 is something most expect could happen.
A receiver in the second round might come as a surprise, but with the speed and production of Noel, he would make a good fit, although he is under six feet tall, which seems to be a target height for the Cardinals and their receivers.
Walker is part of a deep defensive line class and in another draft, Walker might be a higher pick.
The Jones pick is believable, as are the remaining picks. Considering the Cardinals have drafted five cornerbacks in two years, adding another on Day 3 is not a surprise.
James was one of the players the Cardinals interviewed at the combine.
This group of picks hits all the areas one might expect the Cardinals to go. There isn't anything crazy about any of the picks.
