The best draft prognosticator in the business today. Consistently gets it right more then anyone else every single year. But I will say to wait for the mock he puts out a few days or the day before the draft, thats when he puts all of his notes together from his vast array of contacts within actual teams war rooms.

Yup. Interesting note is that he only has 4 cornerbacks going in the ENTIRE FIRST ROUND. I know there are a lot of doubters here that Cason would fall to Arizona in the second, but if only 4 cornerbacks go in the first round, I think that it's possible that he might.

Didn't he used to only do one a year and he put it out right before the draft?

qualify that by saying that assumes cards do not take a cb in round 1. i believe they will and will go rb in round 2. cason will be a round 2/3 selection...any question about speed disqualifies him as a premier pick at cb....although he is a heady player.

Not for me. I want the Cards to pick CB 1st and 2nd round and then pick up Thomas Brown in the 4th. Our pass defense is BAD. 2 corners will push Eric Green and finally give the Cards a little depth.

Philly picked back-to-back corners a few years ago, and it's worked out okay for them.

I love Cason, and hope he stays in Arizona. I just don't love him at 16. If the Cards wanted to trade down a little and pick up an extra 3rd round pick, I'd be fine with him in the early 20s.

2 CB, RB, OT/G, 2 DL, ILB, OLB. This would be a great draft to pick up an extra pick in.

I agree 2 Cbs in the draft would be nice, but 1-2 would be overkill IMO, get one in round 1, then grab a Godfrey in 4, or Ikegwuona in 5. 1st rounder competes/takes Greens spot, Godfrey or Ike push Green for nickle spot. I just think we have too many other needs to go CB in 1 and 2. Get a RB, and DE, and maybe OT then hit CB again.

Great link because I refer to nfldraftcountdown.com for my info. Right now, they have us getting Mendenhall which I'd wet myself if we were able to pick him. Stewart, whom they had us picking before, is my third choice behind McKelvin.

If the draft fell like that and we think we could get someone to push Green in the 2nd (which I feel we can), then the names that pop out are:

1. Chris Williams
2. Philip Merling
3. Kentwan Balmer who would compete with Brqanch to be a 3-4 DE and rotational DT.

Well, I can't understand his Oakland pick. Their backs were racking up steady 100 yard games last season... and Kansas City has dire needs on the 0-line.

Here's my latest quess:

Draft 2008-04-12

1. Miami – Jake Long
2. St-Louis – Glenn Dorsey
3. Atlanta – Matt Ryan
4. Oakland - Chris Long
5. Kansas City – Ryan Clady
6. NY Jets – Darren McFadden
7. New England – Vernon Gholston
8. Baltimore – Keith Rivers
9. Cincinnati – Sedrick Ellis
10. New Orleans – Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
11. Buffalo – Devin Thomas
12. Denver – Branden Albert
13. Carolina – Chris Williams
14. Chicago - Jeff Otah
15. Detroit – Rashard Mendenhall
16. Arizona – Choice of:
· Leodis McKelvin –- Mike Jenkins – Aqib Talib – Derrick Harvey - Jonathan Stewart - Kentwan Balmer - Philip Merling

*** While the Mendenhall pick for Detroit seems logical, I've read that Coach Maronelli (sp?) sees DERRICK HARVEY as his next Simeon Rice.

I honestly think Jenkins will be the second CB taken.

See, here's the thing. Gosselin is respected for the wrong reason and probably doesn't deserve the respect he gets.

He is lauded for having a mock draft that most resembles the way the first round actually turns out. Whoopty crapola.

Joel Bushbaum was respected for correctly identifying those players who would be professional successes. That means something.

This is as good as any mock I've seen thus far.
Forget Talib because of his issues. Jenkins doesn't fit the image that Whiz wants. I'm not sure McKelvin has the smarts to play in any type of complex defense (jmho).

This scenario comes down to Harvey or Stewart. JS is the higher rated player and from the little bit I've read Harvey is better suited as a de in a standard 4-3 D.
Stewart it is.
