He was arguably the best player in the college game and even in the weakest year in NCAA history that equates to much better than you suggest.

Steve
Rose was the best player in the college game that year......even for a weak year in the NCAA

I disagree, but together we have proved my point. Beasley was arguably the best player in the college game that year.

Yeah so you go out and pay 13-14M$ per season for a worse player, David Lee good riddance.

Thank god the Suns won't pursue Lee either.

He won't require a long and immense deal to be signed. I don't know who the Suns will sign, I don't want Amare for max years and max money. You might as well dissolve the franchise because his knees aren't going to hold up.

Hahaha, Lee won't require a long and big contract to bring him here? What drugs are you doing?

He will ask for the max just like Amare.

I think when you say he ain't and I say he is it pretty much substantiates an "arguably" claim.

You mean you sat there like the blind guy on lookout in Mel Brooks Robin Hood movie and just guessed he was playing poorly. ;)
Nah....I just watch a lot of Big 12(Texas), WAC(NMSU) and Conference USA (Memphis). but im far from an expert...I was wrong about D.J. Augustin

At least david lee is realistic. It makes me giggle to see some of you all clamor over dirk.

I watch a lot of college basketball and I've never been wrong. I was right when I corrected elindholm about Stromile Swift (he thought the guy would be a bust and I assured him he'd be a star) and I was right when I insisted Don Mclean would be an unstoppable scorer in the NBA and that Reggie Miller would never be more than a rotation player. I was also right when I insisted Robin Lopez would never get off the bench.:)

If we trade stat to miami for Beasley does that give us a 12mil trade exemption?

if so, what about trading for a resigned boozer. We'd be loosing Amare and Fry for Boozer and Beasley. I personally like that combo better. I'm tired of 3 point chuckers. Boozer averaged 13+ rebounds per game in the playoffs.

Frye reportedly wants 32 mil - no way is that a smart move. He has Diaw written all over him...420-25 mil max

Nice straw man. I don't think you'll find anyone clamoring for Dirk, as he's assuredly going back to Dallas. Most of us don't want to overpay for Googs part 2.

I was livid when the Pacers select Reggie Miller instead of Steve Alford

Eh, Boozer and David Lee would all get Rudy Gay type of contract, maybe?
