Carrie Fisher reportedly suffered a heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles on Friday.

According to TMZ, she went into cardiac arrest and people on board were administering CPR. When the plane landed, paramedics rushed her to a nearby hospital.

Two passengers who claim to have been seated in front of Fisher, 60, on the plane confirmed the reports, with YouTube star and actress Anna Akana adding “she wasn’t breathing for 10 minutes or so.”

Her brother is reporting she is stable now, but you gotta wonder how she's going to be if she truly wasn't breathing for 10 min.

Are we sure she wasn't breathing for a full 10 minutes? If that's accurate, she'll never be Carrie Fisher again--she'll be a vegetable :(

I feel for her whole family but especially for her mother. Debbie Reynolds has dealt with a lot in her life...this, obviously, is the lowest of all blows.

RIP Carrie. What a talent you were.

No, not necessarily unfortunately. If the brain stem stays intact, they can keep basic functions like heart beat and breathing. Lots of severely brain damaged people were not breathing for 10 minutes or more.

Terri Schiavo had no oxygen for 14 minutes and lived for over a decade until her husband won the right to pull her feeding tube.

Carrie was amazing. That's it. Wonderful personality, tough life, indomitable spirit even though taken to the brink several times. Outside of being Leia and all that entails (and perhaps despite all that it entails) she was funny, witty, honest, and endearing. Her books were amazing and honest, and just so heartfelt.

Pretty sad about this one - not usually a guy to be broken up by a celeb passing, but Carrie was more human than celeb, IMO. She allowed her pain and joy to be seen, laughed at, and connected to.

RIP.
