This sucks. Loved watching Dikembe with the Nuggets. He was one of my first non Suns favorite players. I'll never forget him celebrating after the Nuggets beat the #1 seed Sonics after being down 0-2 in the 94 playoffs.

RIP Dikembe. He always seemed so happy and I don't recall hearing anything negative about him other than how painful his elbows were.

Rest in Peace Dikembe Mutombo.

I used to collect your basketball cards. Your smile and finger wag made the game fun and memorable.

Awful. He was a great person and loved the intensity he brought on the floor. He'll be missed.

Makes me really sad. Really nice guy. Met him on a basketball court at gtown. Great human being. Great Hoya.

RIP Loved watching him play defense. And wagging his finger. So tough. Such a great guy off the court, too.

Great basketball player, even better human being. His iconic shot clutching the basketball as the first #8 seed to upset a #1 seed will live on forever.

Rest in Peace, big man.

I have great respect for him as a human being but I wasn't too fond of him as a player. I thought the finger wag was silly and I hated that era of big guys throwing elbows at the heads of opponents. So I didn't watch his team play very often but I did love that year when Brian Williams paired with him on the Nuggets and they shocked the heavily favored Supersonics before losing in 7 to the Jazz. But even disliking the elbow swings and the finger waggles, I'd have loved to see him on the Suns.

Great man on and off the court. My siblings and I went to a bunch of playoff games the year the Sixers played the Lakers in the finals. Was fun to watch him play. Rest in peace.

Yeah we've lost some legendary athletes this past year. It feels like that 2 year stretch about 6 to 8 years ago where we lost so many great singers.
