Sad news. :(

I really enjoyed his early works and remember thinking at the end of Debt of Honor how that fictional ending could actually happen in real life someday.

My favorite - Red Storm Rising. Love that book, a very well read & worn copy sits on my shelf now.

Ya, I read RSR in the late 90's. Loved it. Then read it again recently (forgot I had read it). Still good.

Cardinal in the Kremlin was not as good, but still had some solid parts. The sensory deprivation part scared me half to death for some reason.
