Just a quick, easy list of player.

This may be my favorite time for football, but it is also, always, a busy time socially. Thus I cannot get into these roster breakdowns like I want. I know, I know, you are all crying inside :D LOL

** I am going to take Bruce Arians at his word on this breakdown. Arians said he has 48 spots locked up, 5 spots still open for competition, and probably 3 spots that will be competing against the waiver wire.

*** EDIT: 09/01/13 - Got about 87% .... pretty poor, LOL! ***

The 48 (Locked in):

1. Carson Palmer, QB
2. Drew Stanton, QB
3. Rashard Mendenhall, RB
4. Alfonso Smith, RB
5. Stepfan Taylor, RB
6. Andre Ellington, RB
7. Larry Fitzgerald, WR
8. Michael Floyd, WR
9. Andre Roberts, WR
10. Jaron Brown, WR
11. Jim Dray, TE
12. Rob Housler, TE
13. Kory Sperry, TE
14. Levi Brown, OT
15. Eric Winston, OT
16. Bobby Massie, OT
17. Nate Potter, OT
18. Daryn Colledge, OG
19. Paul Fanaika, OG
20. Senio Kelemete, OG --> Earl Watford, OG
21. Lyle Sendlein, OC
22. Darnell Dockett, DE
23. Calais Campbell, DE
24. Dan Williams, NT
25. Frostee Rucker, DL
26. Matt Shaughnessey, DL
27. Ronald Talley, DL
28. John Abraham, OLB
29. Sam Acho, OLB
30. Lorenzo Alexander, OLB
31. Alex Okafor, OLB
32. Reggie Walker, ILB ---> Kenny Demens, ILB
33. Kalos Dansby, ILB
34. Jasper Brinkley, ILB
35. Kevin Minter, ILB
36. Patrick Peterson, CB
37. Jerraud Powers, CB
38. Rashad Johnson, S
39. Yeremiah Bell, S
40. Tyrann Matheui, S
41. Javier Areans, CB
42. Justin Bethel, CB
43. Antione Cason, CB
44. Jay Feely, K
45. Dave Zastudil, P
46. Mike Leach, LS
47. David Carter, NT ---> Bryan McCann, CB
48. Jamell Flemming, CB
49. Jeff King, TE ---> D.C. Jefferson, TE

-------Still a competition for these spots -------------

50. Mike Thomas, WR ---> Ryan Williams, RB
51. Ryan Lindley, QB

-------Competing against the Waiver Wire -----------

52. Curtis Taylor, S ---> Tony Jefferson, S
53. Jonathan Cooper, OG (on his way to IR) ---> Mike Gibson, OC

There you go. That is my guess.

We will see Saturday.

Hope to post some long drawn out thread about the upcoming season on Labor Day.

Have a good weekend everyone, and Good luck with your Fantasy Football drafts.

Do you think Daryl Washington is getting cut, then?

Washington of course is suspended for the first four games. So he doesn't count against the 53 to start the season. Somebody else will be released when DWash comes back.

From Rugby's list I'd guess Fleming.

Good list.

My changes: I don't think Sperry is a lock by any stretch. And this will probably go against the grain, but I also do think Phonso is either. Both of those guys can get cut, and if we need them back around Week 4, they will be available. We do this to Phonso every year it seems. Nobody picks him up, and he finds his way back. I think if Ryan Williams has a game on Thursday, we may keep him. Absolute last chance. I also think Jefferson makes this team. I know he is a project, but he definitely is in over Taylor, and I don't think Amaya is that good of a special teamer.

As you mentioned in another thread, Potter and Gibson are in a battle. No backup centers here. I don't think Colledge is an option at center.

You misspelled Arenas as Areans. That is quite funny given that Arians is the coach. He is definitely on the team. :)

Good list.

Possible changes:

Dropped- King, Kelemete, Fleming, Cooper (to truncated IR)

Added - RW, K Taylor or Watford, T Jefferson, TE (to be picked up)

Reasons:

King still injured. Kelemete hasn't shown enough by Year 2. Fleming is a slow zone guy in a fast man to man world.

We need 5 RB's at an injury-laden position. We need Watford more than Taylor but I'd hate to lose Taylor. Jefferson in place of Fleming because Bethel can play either S or CB. I don't think Cooper will count against the Final 53 till he comes off IR. This creates room for a 4th TE.

4th rounder Earl WaTFord doesn't make the team? Good job, super skout Steve Keim.

Other than Whatfor only Massie and Acho of all our 4th round picks this century are still on the team.

The 49ers have Looney, Gholdson and Kendall Hunter. And until this spring had Sopoaga.

Did Tampa trade Gholdson back to the 49ers? :)

I can't help but to wonder if a TE or two might not be had from the final cuts of other teams.

Good stuff.

I should have also noted that I think the back up center will be on the practice squad. They had five centers at one point this off season and I think that was the reason for it
