Don't know most of the names, but I like the positional focus (assuming someone outstanding doesn't fall into our laps at WR/RB/QB as BPA, etc.)

Draft #4 is perfect. Would have to get a RT in FA but there are a couple of guys still out there.

Top to bottom 4

Got 2 of my fav players in Van Noy and Arthur Lynch. Great S in Dix and a solid project pick in Bastiste.

#1 is best bang for the buck though with Aaron Donald alone. Also My boy Bucannon is in there.

tough, but Id take 4 every time.

Here is my ultra-fantasy land, everyone is dropping like a rock, mock:

1 - Teddy Bridgewater, QB
2 - Dee Ford, OLB
3 - Deone Buchanan, SS
4 - Stanley Jean-Baptiste, CB
5 - Arthur Lynch, TE

Trade our 6th for a 6th and 7th

6 - James Hurst, OT
7 - Andrew Jackson, ILB

cant say i love CB in the first but if they are BPA you have to do it. Then 3-4 years down the line you keep one and trade the other between the two top CB on the team. Good way to have 2 elites at one position but only pay one and then get compensation after you wear them down a little.

Bad news is I don't like 3 of the 4 drafts. Good news is I love the first. I doubt Donald falls to us but if he does I will be ecstatic. Then to add Buchanon and CJ too would be amazing!

I think there is a difference between "ran him through some LB drills" and many believing he can be an OLB

He is a player coming out of college.

He is a DE, OK fine, he was a DE in college, and in the pros, if the NFL team wants to, they can stand him up to play OLB.

There have been plenty of cases were that has happened.

Anthony Barr is in the same boat.

Just sayin', cause I have no idea why people are fixated on this, for this specific player. NONE.

Cause if the Cardinals staff thinks he could be an OLBer, and drafts him to be an OLBer, then guess what ? He is playing OLBer.

Its a flippin' mock, sheeeesh.

Cause Hasean Clinton-Dix is ONLY a free safety, and Zach Martin is ONLY a offensive tackle right ?

Brian Orakpo was a DE at Texas. Washington just put the franchise tag on him. $11.455 million to play OLB.

First: I wouldnt have an issue drafting Donald.

He played DT in college, and with the Cards, projects to 3/4 DE ( but even at that spot there are questions.) or maybe a nose tackle

I think projecting him out to LB is a bit much. Other than a report on him doing OLB drills at a workout, I havent seen anything from a pro suggesting thats a possibility.

c'mon RM: you arent really comparing a DT to OLB move as the same as swapping safety spots, or moving from tackle to guard, or asking Anthony Barr, who played lots standing up, to move to LB?

Well...his athleticism at the combine measured in line with rush OLBs.

He impressed coaches with his fluidity during OLB drills at his pro day.

His only red flag is his size as a DT/DE which no longer becomes a red flag as an OLB.

Our defensive cooardinator likes larger 3-4 OLBs.

In a 3-4, you generally have one OLB who is your "rush" guy and rarely drops into coverage.

So, in summation, you don't like Donald as a "rush OLB" (the 3-4 equivalent of a 4-3 DE) because has not done it before despite showing the athleticism and fluidity this offseason. It is definitely not a lock, but it is not as far out there as you seem to be making it.

Kony ealy played lmost his same position in college,he played a lot in the middle as dt.
But people consider him more an olb/de then donald.
Why?cause the evaluation is made just considering his measures ,he is 6'4 275lb
But donald has much more athleticism then ealy ,so obviosuly he has more versatilty.
Also scout were impressed about his aturity and love for the game.
He can learn the position ,but how we use olb is not so much different then tipical de in 4-3 defense

I don't believe Matt Shaughnessy had ever played OLB before coming to Arizona.

nfl.com lists him at 6'5" 285.
