I have narrowed my ideal Cardinal draft to 2 final versions:

Draft #1

1- OLB Dee Ford - Would start Day 1 and make an immediate impact. Von Miller clone.

2 - SS Deone Buchanon - Hope he is there at #52. Complete player who can play the run and pass. Has size ARZ is looking for.

3 - CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste - Huge CB prospect who can be eased into rotation and replace Cromartie next year.

4 - OT Cameron Fleming - Realistically could beat out Sowell/Massie for starting RT spot. Nice size at 6'5 314, a little stiff but enough mobility to hold up.

5 - DE Garrison Smith - Big DE prospect at 6'3 299 who was very productive at UGA.

6 - DT Viliami Moala - Highly touted recruit out of HS, nice size at 6'2 315 will provide depth behind Williams & Ta'amou.

Draft #2

1 - DE Kony Ealy - Might be BPA at #20. Only question is can he play OLB? With DD signed for 1 more season, he likely won't start at DE until 2015 but should be a stud DE.

2 - OLB Trevor Reilly - Complete player with size 6'5 255 that BA was looking for. Very impressive SR season.

3 - S Dion Bailey - Versatile player who also played some OLB at USC.

4 - OT Cameron Fleming - See above.

5 - ILB Shane Skov - Would be a steal here, a real play maker at ILB.

6 - CB Shaquille Richardson - Reminds me of Alterraun Verner, big CB at 6'0 194 runs a 4.40 40-yard. Solid career at UA.

What is this thing about Deone Bucannon's size? From what I gather he's no taller or bigger than 2 of our 3 safeties at present.

He is one of the bigger S's in the draft in terms of bulk at 220 lbs. He is also listed at 6'1 so he is one of the taller S's in the draft. If you look at Buchanon he looks almost like a LB. I believe the tallest S in the draft is Jonathan Dowling at 6'3, if Bailey is gone in Round 3 I would be happy if ARZ took Dowling.

Also minus the Von Miller all around talent. Dee Ford does one thing that's why one guy went top 3 and the other night be top 20

What all round talent? Miller is strictly a pass rusher, he doesn't drop into coverage (1 career INT) and he is not a run defender. Miller is a one trick pony. Right now Ford is strictly viewed as a pass rusher, he is not as complete as Mack or Barr and he is very similar in stature to Miller. The one thing I will concede is Ford didn't have the JR year numbers Miller put up at A&M.

You honestly think Dee Ford has the all around game of Von Miller? Miller is not just a pass rusher. He about as good as an OLB there is in the game. I honestly have to question your ability to evaluate talent

Question me all you like but Miller is a PASS RUSHER, that is what I meant by Von Miller clone comment, Ford is a pass rusher. I never said Ford had an all around game because neither does Von Miller.

Von Miller Scouting Report

Summary
Von Miller is arguably the best pass rusher in the 2011 Draft. Miller led the nation in sacks with 17 during his junior season, yet elected to return to the Aggies for his senior year. With an explosive first step and elite athleticism, Miller will start making his living in the NFL as a pass rush specialist. However, that doesn’t mean he won’t be used on all three downs. His senior season allowed him to officially make a switch to outside linebacker, giving him the opportunity to drop into coverage more often. Smart and dedicated, he’ll make any NFL team happy as a terror off the edge, and will more than likely blossom into a very well rounded 3-4 OLB.

Run Stopping
Miller’s speed can get the better of him. He has a tendency to get upfield too quickly and can’t react in time to draw plays. Miller can take poor pursuit angles at time, but his speed usually makes up for it. Overall, he’s instinctive and flows to the ball very well, using his hands to get through traffic. Miller has had a knack for coming up big in short yardage situations, remaining stout at the point of attack for someone that is usually out-matched from a weight perspective.

Coverage
Still a developing part of Miller’s game. He has fluid hips and changes directions well but he has a hard time with quicker/shifty backs in coverage. Athleticism and work ethic will help his coverage abilities develop and more than likely, teams will rarely put him in coverage and will use his ability to get to the quarterback instead….at least at first. Miller is relentless and never gives up on the play. Timing is solid and knows how to get his hand in and break up the pass or grab the ball at it’s highest point. Miller’s body control is very apparent while in coverage.

Dee Ford Scouting Report

Summary: Pittsburgh defensive tackle Aaron Donald was the star of the 2014 Senior Bowl, but just behind him was Ford. After helping to lead Auburn to the National Championship, Ford had an excellent week of practice in Mobile where he showed off his tremendous edge-rush ability. Ford was a beast in the one-on-ones, and he definitely continued the upward trend for his draft stock.

Ford had a slow start to his college career with 11 tackles and two sacks as a freshman. He missed the majority of his sophomore season with a back injury before a quality showing as a junior in 2012. Ford had six sacks with 34 tackles and a forced fumble in 2012.

As a senior, Ford took his game to another level and was one of the best edge rushers in college football. He missed the first two games, but finished the year with a total of 29 tackles, 14.5 tackles for a loss, 10.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. Ford played well late in the season against Missouri and Florida State (2 sacks). He was dominated Florida State's right tackle all evening.

Ford projects to the NFL as a pure speed rusher off the edge. He has a great get-off and the speed to close in an instant. Ford has the pass-rushing moves and agility to run around blockers. Ford isn't a great run-defender, and at the next level, he could struggle to defend runs coming straight at him. Ford does better in pursuit, but his run defense is too weak to remain a 4-3 end in the NFL. As a run-defender, he would be much better off playing outside linebacker rather than lining up with his hand in the ground.

While Ford is very explosive off the edge, he isn't big enough to remain at defensive end as a pro. Ford will have to move to outside linebacker. In a 4-3 defense, he would have to play as a linebacker who rushes off the edge in passing situations, similar to Von Miller in Denver. Ford projects best as an edge rusher in a 3-4 defense. Some believe that Ford could go in the top 20, but at his size he looks like a better fit in round two.

Going by PFF grades Miller is almost as good against the run as he is at rushing the passer.

Yes Miller is great rushing the passer but he's really good at everything else to. Your discrediting his game he's a every down player. He was the 2nd pick in the draft, Dee Ford is at best a late first round selection and is pretty much a 3rd down pass rushing specialist
