Suns doubling down on the denials:

Hmm... the original tweet seemed to imply that this was an NBA investigation. If the Suns characterization is correct and this is a lone reporter... that is disappointing.

What makes you so positive it is not fake news? Do you just automatically believe everything that is reported - that would be pretty stupid considering the amount of news published in recent years that was proved to be 100% fake.

Not saying it is fake, just saying jumping to conclusions at this point is dumb.

Do you actually READ everything I posted? that's why I said IF and legitimate sources back up the story.

I’ll say this: I may despise Sarver as the owner of the suns, but if this all turns out to be baseless or vendetta-driven I’ll be legitimately sad for him. No one deserves the baggage he’ll forever have about this if it’s not true.

We don't know what will be said but if the report comes out as rumored, when has something like that ever happened without at least some truth to it? This sucks for us fans.

Suns are asking not to rush to judgement.

The word “if” that cheese used kinda indicates he’s not certain.

I haven't seen anyone actually defend Robert Sarver in years. Just because some posters are unwilling to rush to judgement doesn't mean we are supporting the owner.

BS... you guys were defending him with the Steve Kerr fallout yesterday, which was laughable. and there always seem to be a faction of people here who apparently know better whats' going on inside the team than reporters who's job it is to have sources inside the team and actually have working knowledge of the team. i've seen too many times the questioning of legitimate reporter's stories and even saying there are conspiracies against Sarver within ESPN to agree that there aren't a contingent of Sarver defenders.

The BS is coming from you. I said, over and again, that I wouldn't be surprised if Sarver did what was being said, but that I would never (EVER) take anything Amin says about the Suns franchise at face value. How in the hell is that defending Sarver???

dude, you used to attack Woj as part of the ESPN cabal that was pumping out fake news about the Suns because Amin worked there.

I can't help it if you were uninformed and unaware of Amin's crusade against Sarver and the Suns. And I can't help it if you didn't hear his supposed inside stories and then hear them repeated almost verbatim by Windhorst, Amin and Rachel Nichols. Maybe they were true, maybe they weren't but when it comes to the Suns I believe the man to be a liar. I don't believe he was the decision maker or insider he makes himself out to be.

What? When did Steve do that? Do you have an example? I don't remember ever reading Steve doing that. I remember him only attacking Amin, but I'm not sure what that has to do with Woj.

Statement from Suns forthcoming.

Damage control. Trying to control the narrative before it comes out. Man...they better have CONCRETE evidence. Let's see if it's a simple hard denial of any of it. If so, this could be a CRAP story. If you see any wiggle room or any kind of grey response? CRAP STORM IS COMING.

you're still doing it. you ever think maybe someone has a crusade... because it's warranted? And you thinking that all those long-time established stars of the network are just going follow like lemmings off a cliff because some crazy guy said so is ridiculous to me Steve.

From years of studying politics:

Accusor: I have dirt on you

Defendor: No you do not. How dare you etc.

Accusor: Here is some of what I have.

Defendor: That's all hearsay!! You have nothing.

Accusor: Here's audio proof!

Defendor: That's out of context!!

Accusor: Here's a video of the whole thing!!

Defendor: I got nothing.....

Usually when they put a hit on someone and it sticks they roll out stuff slowly and let them bury themselves!!

yup. leak the first story... let the person deny and then dump even more in the next story.

we just saw it with Jon Gruden with the racist comment first about the Michelin tires. He comes out with a pathetic excuse for why he used the slur and doubles down with the "not a racist bone in my body" comment and just walked right into the Times' trap as they dumped the rest of the emails on him.

I watched them do it. If you had watched that show every day for a couple of years you would have seen it too. Amin represented himself as a major player within the organization and would regularly embellish and/or invent stories about the organization and Sarver. I'd hear or read those same stories some time later by other ESPN personalities that took Amin's information at face value.

I also watched them STOP doing it, when, I believe they finally realized the guy was full of crap. I invite you to test what I've said about Amin on some other Suns forum, unless it's too new to have seen Amin on all the ESPN NBA shows and segments, you'll get much of the same kind of things that I've said. And most of them will be fans like me that pray daily that Sarver will be forced to sell.

I think this is what we are waiting to see, who are the players.
