Apparently, Lopez already has a nickname with the team, as revealed by Paul Coro today.

And the best Shaq revelation of the night: "Bird backed me up and played very well." And that's how we now know that Robin Lopez's nickname is Bird (see nest-like hair and first name). Bird, who apparently was not going to be playing until the ejection, had his best game with nine points and four rebounds in 14 minutes. He scored on a follow over Rasheed Wallace on his first play. He didn't block a shot but he changed some. Besides, Louis Amundson was swatting enough for him with three blocks.
