I'm uneasy about the certainty of Lopez's return. Is it a sure thing he'll be back for the second round. I've really heard nothing solid stating this.

The trainer said he might be cleared to play on Monday but nothing definite.

crap... so if the Spurs series starts on Saturday or Sunday, we're without him for Game 1? The Game 1 at home that we always lose to the Spurs? Great.

I think the article said he could actually practice this weekend so maybe we'll know whether he'll hold up well enough to actually play. Regardless, I could see Dallas extending that series to 7 anyway (if Portland doesn't extend us) so he may not have to miss the first game after all.

Isn't each series definitively allotted time to span seven games before the next series can begin, to avoid scheduling conflicts where one next round series begins much sooner than another?

I don't think thats the way the NBA schedules series - for example the Celts-Magic start their second round series Saturday which couldn't happen if they'd gone seven games in the first round. Boston won the fifth game on Tuesday so they'd have played game seven no earlier than Saturday.

I thought the Celtics are playing the Cavs?

I was watching 12 News last night and I could see Robin in the back ground practicing 2on2. I think his back is ready they are just getting him back into game shape. Plus did you notice on the pic on the air plan he had a hospital band on his wrist???

They should pull a Brandon Roy and tell everyone that he is coming back at the end of Round 2 and then start him in Game 1.

Per TNT, looks like Lopez is going to give it a try against the Spurs.

Game 1 is Monday
That's what Tom Leander said during the Portland finale, too.

'Also said that Robin is feeling no pain.

Even if he starts with 24 minutes, he'll rebuild his stamina game by game.
