Yes, Morey is a smart guy and his thinking may be: if he gives the more versatile PF with higher upside than the Suns should take Brewer's heavy contract as well.
If the Suns won't find a better trade for Morris till 15th of January (I'm afraid they won't), they will take this offer, IMO.
Yea but that makes no sense. Morey has two options, either trade Jones now and take whatever he can get for him or watch Jones walk as a free agent after the season.
Unlike Kieff who is locked into a team friendly 4 year contract, Jones is gonna get offered a contract that Houston can't match in the off season. Rockets don't have much leverage.
I wish the Suns could move Knight while they're at it. Bledsoe is looking good, but the pairing of Bledsoe and Knight has no future.
On the other hand, I do believe they thought it would be long term. And that they did not anticipate the effect on the rest of the team playing without a skilled Point Guard and a skilled Shooting Guard. Downgrading two positions.I never believed they ever thought there was a long term future. They couldn't have been that stupid. I still think it was a test to see who they wanted long term and the other was always going to get traded at some point bringing some value back.
